በክስ ቻርጁ ላይ ” ተከሳሽ ሀቢባ ሙሀመድ ከ27ኛ ተከሳሽ አብዱራህማን ኡስማን ጋር በመገናኘትና 1 ነጥብ 5 ሚሊዮን ብር በላይ በመቀበል ከመጅሊስ እውቅና ውጭ በኦሮሚያ ክልል ውስጥ አክራሪነትን በማስፋፋትና ቦታውን በማስገንባትና በአዲስ አበባ ከሚገኘው የሳውዲ አረብያ ኢምባሲ የሀይማኖት ክፍል ግንኙነት በመፍጠር ለአክራሪነት ማስፋፊያ የሚሆን በ9?11?2004 ዓም 50 ሺ ብር በመቀበል እንዲሁም ለህገወጥ አላማ እየተጠሩ የነበሩትን የሰደቃ ፕሮግራም ለመደገፍ የሚውሉ የተለያዩ ቁሳቁሶችን ይዛ ስትንቀሳቀስ እጅ ከፍንጅ ” መያዛቸውን ይገልጣል።

በአሁኑ ሰአት ታይላንድ ባንኮክ የሚገኙት አቶ ጁነዲን ሳዶ የባለቤታቸውን መታሰር በመቃወም አንድ ጽሁፍ በጋዜጦች ላይ ማውጣታቸው ይታወሳል።

ስለስልጣን ብልግና አለያም ስለ ስልጣንን በማንአለብኘነት አለ አግባብ ስለ ከመጠቀም ከመናገር ይበልጥ አስቸጋሪ የሆኑ bezu ነገሮች yelum፡፡ ለ31 ዓመቷ ወጣት ኢትዮጵያዊት

 አይበገሬ ርዕዮት ዓለሙ ግን፤ የመጻፍ ነጻነት፤ የመናገር ነጻነት፤ ሃሳብን በነጻ የማንሸራሸር ነጻነትን ድምጻቸው በመሳርያና በስለላ መዋቅር ለታፈነባቸው ድምጽ ከመሆን ምንም አይነት ጋሬጣ ቢደረደር ሊያደናቅፋት ጨርሶ አይችልም፡፡  አሁንም ቢሆን ባለችበት ክፉ ሁኔታም ሆና ስለግፍ ስልጣን ቁልጭ ያለ ሃቅን ትናገራለች፤ ‹‹ለጥንካሬዬ ዋጋ እንደምከፍል ብገነዘብም የሚቃጣብኝን ለመቋቋም ዝግጁ ነኝ››፡በማለት ካለችበት ገሃነማዊ የቃሊቲ ጉረኖ ባመለጠው የእጅ ጽሁፏ መልእክቷን  ለአለም አስተላልፋለች፡፡

“ጥንካሬ ለሁሉም ድርጊት ታላቅ ዋጋ አለው፡፡ ጥንካሬ ከሌለ ማንኛውንም አይነት ዋጋ ያለው ተግባር ማከናወንም ሆነ ማቀድ አይቻልም” ያለችው ታላቋ የአሜሪካ የሰብአዊ መብት ተሟጋችና ጸሃፊ ማያ አንጀሉ ናት፡፡ ባለፈው ሳምንት የዓለም አቀፉ ሜዲያ ፋውንዴሽን (IWMF) የ2012ን  ታላቁን “የጋዜጠኝነት ጀግንነት” ሽልማቱን  ለአይበገሬዋ ርዕዮት ዓለሙ ሸልሟል፡፡ ባለፈው ሜይ ርዕዮትን ወደ ወህኒ ለመወርወርና ዝም ለማሰኘት ስለተከናወነው ሂደት ጽፌ ነበር፡፡

ለዚያ ማፈርያ ፍርድ ቤት ማስረጃ ተብሎም በርዕዮት ላይ የቀረበው ሰነድ፤ከሌሎች የሙያ ባልደረቦች ጋር በህገወጥነት የተሰበሰበ የኢሜይል ልውውጥ፤በስለላ መዋቅሩ የተጠለፈ የቴሌፎን ንግግር፤ሲሆን ከሁሉም ጋር ያደረገችው ልውውጥ ግን ሰላማዊ ትግልና ለማጠናከር ሊደረግ የሚገባውን የሚያመላክት ብቻ ነበር፡፡ ርዕዮት በፍትሕ ጋዜጣና በኢትዮጵያን ሪቪዩ ድህረገጽ ላይ ያወጣችው ጽሁፍም በማስረጃነት ቀርቧል፡፡ ከፍርድ ቤት መቅረብ አስቀድሞ ርዕዮትና ውብሸት ታዬ (የአውራምባ ጋዜጣ አዘጋጅ) ከጠበቃ ጋር የመገናኘት መብታቸው ታግዶባቸው ነበርና ጠበቃ ማነጋገር አልቻሉም፡፡ ቃለ መጠይቅም የሚባለው ስርአት ያጣ ሂደትም በሚካሄድበት ወቅት የጠበቃቸው ውክልና መብት እንደታገደ ነበር፡፡ በምርመራ ወቅት የደረሰባቸውን ወከባና ስቃይ፤ የህክምና መከልከልን አቤቱታቸውን፤ ያ አሳፋሪ ፍርድ ቤት ለመስማት እንኳ ፈቃደኛ አልነበረም፡፡

ዛሬ ግን ርዕዮት ይህን ታላቅ እውቅናና ሽልማት ስትሰጥ ለማየት በመብቃቴ እጅጉን እኮራለሁ፡፡ በ2007ም ይህንኑ ሽልማት ሰርክዓለም ፋሲል ስትሞሸርበት ደስታዬ ወሰን አልነበረውም፡፡ ወጣት ኢትዮጵያዊያን ጀግኖች እጅጉን አስከፊ በሆነ ገዢ ባለስልጣን መንግስት ላይ እውነትን በመናገርና የሕዝብን ጥቅም ለማስጠበቅ ቆርጠው በመነሳታቸው ሰበብ  ለእስርና ለግፍ ስቃይ የተዳረጉት ዓለም አቀፍ እውቅና፤ ክብርና ሞገስ ሲቸራቸው ከማየት የበለጠ ምን የሚያስደስት ነገርአለና!?

ርዕዮትና ሰርክዓለምን ለዚህ ክብር ያበቃቸው “ጥንካሬያቸው” ምነድን ነው? ጥንካሬ በተለያየ መልኩ ይከሰታል፡፡ እራሱን ለመስዋእትነት ለማሳለፍ ቆርጦ በጦር ግንባር የተሰለፈ ተዋጊ አደጋው ከፊትለፊቱ እንዳለ ቢያውቅም በጥንካሬው ይጋፈጠዋል፡፡ ወጣት የሆነች ሴት ‹‹ጭቆናና ድምጻቸው የታፈነባቸው ምትክ ለመሆንና ጩኸታቸውን ለመጮህ፤ እሮሯቸውን ለማሰማት፤ ለሕዝብ በመወገን፤ አቆማለሁ›› ለማለት መቁረጥ የሚጠይቀውን ዋጋም ለመክፈል ቆርጦ መነሳት ጥንካሬን ያሳያል፡፡ “ጥንካሬ” በራሱ ግን ምንድን ነው? ታላቁ ፈላስፋ እንደሚለው ‹‹ጥንካሬ  በውስጥ በህሊናችን በመንፈሳችን የሚገኝ ግፊት ነው፡፡ በመረረው አደጋ ውስጥ እንድንጋፈጠውና ገትረን እንድንቋቋመው ያስችለናል፡፡›› ሌሎች እንደሚሉት ደግሞ ጥንካሬ በፍርሃትና በጅልነት መሃል የሚገኝ ነው፡፡ ምናልባትም ጥንካሬ ሌሎችንም ዋጋዎችን ቆራጥነትን፤የዓላማ ጽናትን፤ፈቃደኝነትን፤ትእግስትን፤አሳቢነትን አመኔታን ያካተተ፤ ሊሆን ይችላል፡፡ ጥንካሬን ዓላማቸው ያደረጉ ርዕዮትና ሌሎችም መስሎቿ  በግል ለሚደርስባቸው ችግር፤መከራ ስቃይ ወይም እስርና እንግልት ጨርሶ አያስቡም አያስፈራቸውም፡፡ ስለዚህም እንደ ርዕዮትና ሰርክ ዓለም ያሉ ጠንካሮች እህቶችና እስክንድር ነጋንና ውብሸት ታዬን የመሰሉ ቆራጦች ስላሉን በእጅጉ ልንኮራ ይገባናል፡፡ እንደ ሰብአዊ ፍጡር  ከፍተኛውን የጥናካሬ ደረጃ ያመላከቱንን ኢትዮጵያዊያን ጋዜጠኞች በእስር በመማቀቅ ላይ ቢሆኑም መከራና ችግሩ፤ ግፉና ጭካኔው ግን ጨርሶ ከዓላማቸው ዝንፍ ጥንካሬያቸውንም ሸብረክ አላደረገውም፡፡

በኦክቶበር 24/2012 በሽልማቱ ስነ ስርአት ላይ የተነበበው የርዕዮት የእጅ ጽሁፍ መልእክት ለመጪው ትውልድ የጥንካሬ ማረጋገጫ ነው፡፡የታሪክ ነጻነት፤የፕሬስ ነጻነት፤በኢትዮጵያ በሚጻፍበት ጊዜ መጪው ትውልድ ይህን የርዕዮትንና ሌሎችንም እውነታዊ መልዕክቶች ያነባል፡፡ ጊዜያዊ ግፈኛ ገዢዎች  ሕዝቡን ለስቃይና ሚዛን ላጣው ግፍ በዳረገበት መራር ወቅት ርዕዮትና መሰሎቿ ሃሰትን በማጋለጥና ለግፍ እምቢታን በመምረጣቸው ለእስራት ቢበቁም ቀኑ ሲመጣ ግን በድርጊታቸው የሚኮሩ ይሆናሉ፡፡ ከዓላማዋ ሳታፈገፍግ፤ በዓለም ካሉት ወህኒዎች ሁሉ ያዘቀጠና ግፍ የበዛበት ቦታ ሆና( ወህኒው በኢትዮጵያ የገዢው መንግስት በከፍተኛ ገንዘብ የቀጠረው ኤክስፐርት እንደገለጸው) ለዓላማዋ በመቆም፤ በተራ መጻፊያና በብጭቅጫቂ ወረቀት ላይ በማቃሰት ላይ ያለውን አምባገነን መንግሥት ከወህኒ ቤት ሆና እየሞገተችውናእየሞጨረች እየተዋጋች ነው፡፡

በኢትዮጵያችን የተሻለ ሁኔታ እንዲመጣ ለማገዝ የበኩሌን አስተዋጽኦ ማድረግ አለብኝ፡፡ በርካታ ፍትሕ አልባነት፤ጭቆናዎች፤በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ በየቀኑ በየሰአቱ በየደቂቃው በመፈጸም ላይ ናቸውና በጽሁፌ እንዚህን ሁኔታዎች እያነሳሁና እያጋለጥኩ መኮነን ይኖርብኛል፡፡ ንጹሃን ነጻነትንና ዴሞክራሲን ለመጠየቅ ባዶ እጃቸውን አለ የሚባለውን ሕገ መንግስት ላይ የሰፈረውን በማመን ሰልፍ በመውጣታቸው  መረሸናቸው፤የተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዎችን አመራሮች ማሸነፋቸው ወንጀል ሆኖባቸው፤ የነጻው ፕሬስ አባላት አመለካከታቸውና አቋማቸው ከጨቋኙ አገዛዝ የተለየ በመሆኑ፤ ስለመብት መነፈግ በመሟገታቸው፤ ብክንትን፤በተመለከተ ሁኔታዎች መለወጥ እንዳለባቸው በመናገራቸው ለወህኒ መዳረጋቸውን ቀድሞም የጻፍኩበት ነው፡፡ ያንን ሳደርግም ይህን ለማድረግ በረዳኝ ጥንካሬዬ የተነሳ ዋጋ እንደምከፍልበት ተረድቼ ነው፡፡ ሆኖም ግን ጋዜጠኝነት እኔ እራሴን የምሰዋለት ሙያ መሆኑን አውቃለሁ፡፡ በሌላ አንጸር ደግሞ የኢህአዴግ ጋዜጠኞች የፕሮፓጋንዳና ቆርጦ ቀጥል አገልጋይ፤ የታዘዙትን እንጂ የታዘቡትን የማይጽፉ ጋዜጠኛ ናችሁ የተባሉ ግን ያልሆኑ የገዢው መደብ አገልጋዮች እንደሆኑም እረዳለሁ፡፡ለኔ ግን ጋዜጠኞች ድምጽ ላጡ ድምጽ ሆነው የሚሰዉ ቆራጥና ጥንካሬያቸው የማይገበር መሆናቸውን አውቃለሁ፡፡

ስለዚህም ነው በጭቆና መከራ ውስጥ ስላሉት እውነታውን በተመለከተ በርካታ ጽሁፎች ያቀረብኩት፡፡በዚህ ሳቢያ በርካታ ችግሮች ቢያጋጥሙኝም፤ እኔ ግን ለእምነቴ፤ ዓላማዬና ሙያዬ  በጥንካሬ እቆማለሁ፡፡በመጨረሻም ዓለም አቀፉ ሕብረተሰብ ስለ እውነቷ ኢትዮጵያ እንዲራደ አበክሬ እጠይቃለሁ፡፡እውነተኛዋ ኢትዮጵያ በኢትዮጵያ ቴሌቪዥን እንደምታይዋት አለያም የገዢው መደብ ባለስልጣናት ፈጥረውና የሌለውን እንዳለ፤ ያልተሞከረውን እንደተከናወነ፤ ያልታሰበውን እንደተፈጸመ አድርገው እንደሚያወሩላችሁም አይደለም፡፡በእውነተኛዋ ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ከመጠን ያለፈ ጭቆና እየተካሄደ ነው፡፡በነጻ በማሰባቸው ምክንያት ለእስር የተዳረጉት ኢትዮጵያውያን እኔ የምተርክላችሁ እውነት መሆኑን ያረጋግጡላችኋል፡፡እባካችሁ አቅማችሁ በፈቀደ መጠን ይህን ሁኔታ ለመለወጥ ሞክሩ፡፡

ማንም የጥንካሬን እውነተኛ ትርጓሜ ማወቅ ቢያሻው፤በፍልስፍና ጽሁፎችና አተረጓጎም ውስጥ አለያም በወታደራዊ ታሪኮች ውስጥ ለማግኘት አይሞክር፡፡ ከዚህ የርዕዮት ጽሁፍ በመማር ወደ ተግባር ይቀይሩት፡፡

“A Historic and Peaceful Transfer of Political Power”What a Senseless Jock!CommentaryT.GoshuNever the only one; but one of the most hypocritical and disingenuous political drama on the very fake political game of “the transfer ofhistoric and peaceful political power” manifested itself when the late prime minister, Ato Meles Zenawi was struggling on his way to his never comeback destiny – death.   The Ethiopian people had been denied the right to know first about the disappearance and later the death of former PM., Ato Meles Zenawi let alone the right to know how his health condition was during his premiership. Folks, I am not talking here about the health condition and the death of Ato Meles from the perspective of personal matter; but it is from the perspective of the situation of a man who was the head of the executive branch of government formally but the head of all the three branches of government in reality; and who had a lot to do with having a totalitarian power and the making of fake but dangerous personal and political cult.

One of the very notorious higher officials of EPRDF, ATO Bereket Simon first tried to tell the Ethiopian people that “the great man of not only Ethiopia but also Africa” was on vacation as the result of the exhaustion because of hard work. But he later senselessly told the people that it was nobody else’s business to know about the whereabouts and the condition of his big boss. Imagine folks, how the very ugly political drama by this  guy and his cronies extremely undermined the legitimate rights of the people who were seriously concerned not merely about the disappearance or the death of Ato Meles but most importantly about the fate of their country.   Why? Because as what was going within the ruling party could have serious consequences, it was and still is the fundamental rights and responsibilities of the people to ask for appropriate and timely information.  That was and still is the very gist of the matter. No more! No less!

Another most disgraceful/self-dehumanized subordinate of Ato Bereket ,  Shemeles Kemal did tell the same story in a much more ugly manner. Of course, as he is a mere parrot of the tyrannical regime, it was neither unexpected nor unreasonable to hear from him otherwise. He is one of deadly parasitic cadres of the inner circle of TPLF/EPRDF.

And furthermore, one of the very stupidly arrogant and crazy old guards of TPLF, Ato Sebehat Nega told the Ethiopian people a very nonsensical story. On the one hand, he told the people that Ato Meles had no any health problem except that he was advised to take rest as he was exhausted because of “intensive and extensive” work throughout his life and particularly as the “powerhouse “ of the ruling elite and the head of the executive branch of government; on the other hand, he tried to comfort himself and  his cronies who are the brain- children of Ato Meles by saying that the ruling party  is able to function well and carry out its tyrannical political agenda and practice  without its mastermind ,Ato Meles Zenawi. Well, leaving aside the very ridiculous mystification of Ato Zenawi’s political personality, the issue of whether he worked hard as a genuine agent for the well-being of the people and as a factor for unity within diversity under a democratic system is not only negative but terribly dysfunctional as far as the question of a real sense of national interest is concerned. And that was the way it was for the last 20+ years.

Sadly enough, the way to the “declaration of the transfer of historic and peaceful political power” had to pass through another “big “political game by the ruling circle. This kind of unprecedentedly and foolishly orchestrated political drama was terribly disgraceful to the country and her innocent people. Not only this, but it was also a very disgracefully performed political drama to the deceased PM., Ato MELES Zenawi himself.  That was actually a very ugly politically motivated “declaration” in a very poorly disguised manner of two –week mourning by those highly frustrated elites of the innercircle of the ruling party. The people of Ethiopia have been told (better to say warned) that if they did not get out and “shed their tears” in front of the deadly misleading if not worthless government-controlled media, they would be considered not only as “anti-great leader”  but also “anti-democratic revolution “and would face serious trouble. We have heard so many ridiculous stories about how the inner circle of the ruling party used any means to get the people out and to show their” extraordinary love “to the late PM. We have witnessed a very disgraceful drama when the most underdog (homeless) citizens crying that they were in that kind of devastating life because of “the magnanimity of the great leader “and being worried that they have no idea what would happen to them without their “great dad.”   It is absolutely a national disgrace to be run by a bunch of people (ruling elites) who have no any sense of shame to go to the extent of using those very unfortunate homeless citizens for their dirty political game in front of the eyes of the world. I am not talking just from what I saw and heard about. I have to make clear here that many genuinely concerned Ethiopians including the writer of this commentary had series contacts back home and get information about the reality on the ground. And sadly enough, the information they got back day in-and- day out was that the people had almost restless days because of a very nagging and  noisy horn blowing  all over the neighborhoods (Kebeles ) in cities/towns they live in as a serious warning call for a “historic flood of tears” in paying tribute to  “the greatest leader in the history of the country. “ Imagine folks how these ill-guided ruling elites are stupidly trying to rewrite history.

The pro-TPLF/EPRDF newspaper of Amare Aregawi (the Reporter –Amharic version) has tried hard to describe the highly politicized mourning on the death of Ato Meles with highly mystified and/or fictious  expressions such as: “… as gold is tested with fire, and so is the people of Ethiopia”; “Ethiopia will pay tribute to her leader who has made her anew…”; “The only leader who made the people shed their tears”;  “The fortunate /lucky leader”; “Make ( like Meles) history to have reputation” ; “ Abay will be dammed up ,Meles  shall be remembered”; “The popular motivation has been  awakened  by the passing away (of Meles Zenawi)”; and many more typically  factious types of characterizations. Mind you folks, all these hypocritically orchestrated political dramas were very clear signals that the inner circle of the TPLF/EPRDF was in the process of propaganda to deceive the innocent people of Ethiopia to believe that the “great legacy “of Ato Meles would be transferred” historically and peacefully to  his very loyal  brain –child ,Ato Hailemariam Desalegn . And it happened so.

Now, let’s proceed to the last episode of “great and peaceful transfer of political power. “  Some compatriots genuinely showed kind of optimism about the said transfer of political power; but unfortunately enough, it was without a credibly rational ground. Some with their mere innocence or with kind of political correctness said that the new prime minister, Ato Hailemariam Desalegn should be given time arguing that the guy not only looked humble and religious but he would also need time  to assert himself as a real head of government and influence the ruling party he was chosen to chair. I wish things could be as simple and innocent as they seem. But that was not and could not be the case as the very nature and practices of the ruling party is concerned.

In the first place, the very creation of the three members of EPRDF is part and parcel of an open secret political drama of our political history. They were created and nurtured by TPLFthat was of course itself the well-taken care baby of EPLF, currently called People’s Front for Democracy and Justice – in short Sha’abiyah. The former EPDM was created (1980) and nurtured by TPLF, and sadly enough forced to reorganize itself as an ethnic –based entity and renamed APDM (1982) and a non-Amhara “freedom fighter” (Ato Bereket Simon) was assigned as one of its top leaders. Do not get me wrong here that I am simply against anyone from any national or ethnic origin to be part of the political process of the country. I am talking about a very hypocritical political agenda and practice by TPLF that has caused serious political and socio-economic consequences.

The second subordinate entity (OPDO) was created( the late 1989) by TPLF first by putting a bunch of prisoners of the civil war and soldiers who defected from the defense force of the then government; and subsequently nurturing and organizing them as democratic political entity representing the Oromo people.

The third and the late created (1992) subordinate entity of TPLF was SEPDM (Sothern Ethiopian People’s Democratic Movement) which the new Pm.Ato Hailemarim Desalegn belongs to. This group was created to cover a multi-ethnic region of southern Ethiopia, and to promote as well as to implement the very political agenda of TPLF. And that agenda was and still is keeping the people ethnically divided under the cover of the right of nations and nationalities and perpetuate the political system dominated by TPLF. That was the way it was!

Junedin Sado’s wife charged with terrorism

The Hindustan– The wife of a senior Ethiopian politician was on Monday charged with funnelling money from the Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Islamist terror groups, at a hearing at the Ethiopian Federal High Court, on Monday.

Habiba Mohammed, wife of former Minister for the Civil Service Junedin Sado, was one of 29 Muslim activists accused of criminal conspiracy to commit unspecified acts of terrorism — charges that could attract the death penalty.

Those arrested were accused of belonging to, or supporting, the “Solution Seekers of the Muslim Community’s Problems”, a group that the prosecution contended is a terrorist organisation. Lawyers for the accused denied the charges.

A predominantly Christian country, Ethiopia has positioned itself as a bulwark in the U.S.-led war on terror in East Africa and has promulgated laws, such as the anti-terrorism proclamation 652 of 2009, which have an unusually broad definition of terrorism.

According to the prosecution, Ms. Habiba allegedly tried to steal 1.5 million Ethiopian Birr (approximately Rs. 45 lakh) from the Islamic Council of Ethiopia. He also allegedly received more than 50,000 ETB from the Saudi Arabian Embassy to fund “illegal activities” amongst Ethiopia’s Muslim population.

She was arrested in July this year and the money was recovered from her car, according to local media reports. The Embassy of Saudi Arabia could not be reach for comment.

Last month, Mr. Junedin was expelled from the government and from the Oromo People’s Democratic Organisation (OPDO), a constituent of the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front, the ruling coalition. He previously served as the president of the OPDO.

In a letter published prior to his expulsion, Mr. Junedin defended his wife and criticised the Federal police, prompting a sharp reaction from the establishment. In the letter, Mr. Junedin said that he had approached the Saudi Arabian Embassy in his personal capacity to raise money to build a mosque to fulfil the wishes expressed in the will of his late mother. The money recovered from his wife, Mr. Junedin said, was meant for the mosque and not to fund terrorist activities.

Representatives of Ethiopia’s Muslim community have repeatedly accused the authorities of interfering in religious matters and promoting a specific sect of Islam known as Al Ahbash. Protests reached a head this July when police opened fire at a mosque in Addis Ababa and arrested several prominent Muslim leaders, who were also presented in court on Monday. Last week, three Muslim protestors and a policeman were killed in clashes between protestors and security forces in Gerba in the Amhara region.

Activists contend that the government is using anti-terror legislation to stifle legitimate protests.

In an interview last month, Minister of state for Communications, Shimeles Kemal described the protestors as “Extremist Islamists”.

Africa: Crony Capitalism and Economic Development, the new hiding place for African dictators

The West may have won the Cold War but, lost the battle for democracy and the free market on its own making; competing with authoritarian regime of China on economic development and praising small time tyrants as champions of development says it all.

African tyrants embezzled billions of dollars in the last century out of their poor countries.

These days, dictators are wising up; they no longer engage in outright theft as they use to do but, give it a cover to legitimize the same thing in different package.

The savvy and brutal African tyrants are smart enough to adapt to the changing world to remain in power and maintain their corruption going. Since tyrants’ biggest fear is democratic movements that will instantly end their criminality, they no longer have option to use the old ways of embezzling the people through suitcase capitalism. Therefore, they become ‘Developmental Regimes’ that build roads and dams with their in partnership with totalitarian regimes and foreign aid agencies.  The difference this time is they don’t carry suitcase full of cash, instead they hire their cronies to launder them money posed as private or non-for-profit entity.

In the last century Tyrants of Africa caused so much havoc and distraction on their peoples until they run out of excuses when the Cold War ended. The War on Terror gave them breathing room to continue their draconian rule and corruption. A decade later; after they milked the war on terror for whatever it worth by terrorizing their population into silence, they came up with yet another hideout, ‘Economic Development’. The new buzz word is simply another diversion; thanks to their Western enablers that run out of excuses themselves for continuing to finance their favorite tyrants. At the meantime, their Easter enablers led by China couldn’t wait to jump on development wagon; partnering with the dictators. This time, it isn’t about defending their defunct ideology in the name of the Masses but, plundering Africa in name of Development.

As misery needs companion, the authoritarian regime in China is in love with its counterparts in Africa with the new slogan of ‘Development without Freedom’. Who wants freedom before bread and butter became the new ideology of Authoritarian Capitalism tyrants came up with to have their cake and eat it too.

The Danger of China syndrome

African dictators are savvy enough to have it both ways; fooling the self righteous Western enablers facilitating to hand them Aid money and make them feel good and partnering with their Eastern counterparts to give them cover for their atrocity and corruption the old fashion way in return to plunder of Africa.

Unlike the Cold war that forced tyrants to choice between the ideological divide to receive the latest killing machines or foreign aid to sustain their rule, Authoritarian Capitalism is allowing them to have them both. The China syndrome is taking a hold of African dictators; facilitating their brutality and corruption.

ስከረም 2፤ 2005 ዓ.ም ሎንዶን። ከእንግሊዝ የውጭ ጉዳይ የተወከሉ ባለስልጣናት የኢትዮጵያ ጉዳይ ይመለከተናል ከሚሉ የፖለቲካ ተንታኞች፣ ጋዜጠኞች እና የምሥራቅ አፍሪካ ፖለቲካ ተወካይ ግለሰቦች ጋር ለውይይት ተቀምጠዋል። ወቅቱ የቀድሞውን ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር መለስ ዜናዊን ማን ይተካ ይኾን የሚለው ጉዳይ የሚብሰለሰልበት ነበር። በርግጥ ለእንግሊዝ ተወካዮች የሚያብሰለስል ጉዳይ አልነበረም፤ ምስጢራቸውን በልባቸው ሸሽገው ከባለሞያዎቹ ተጨማሪ ሃሳቦችን ይሰበስባሉ። ሁሉም ባለድርሻ የሚመስለውን እና ጥናቱ ያመላከተውን ሐሳብ ሰነዘረ። ተንታኞችን በሚያስማማ መልኩ የአቶ ኃይለማሪያም ደሳለኝ ተተኪነት አነጋጋሪ አልነበረም። በጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ተተኪ ማንነት ላይ ላይ ጥርጣሬ የነበረው ማንም አልነበረም። የድሕረ መለስ የፖለቲካ ኹኔታ እንዲሁ ትኩረት ያገኘ ነበር።

የተለየ ጉዳይ የተከሰተው ግን ተሳታፊዎች ውይይታቸውን አጠናቀው በሻይ ሰዓት የግል ጭውውት ሲያደርጉ ነበር። የውጭ ጉዳይ ተወካዮቹ የያዟትን ምስጢር ለመተንፈስ እድል ያገኙ መሰለ። ከእንግሊዝ ተወካዮች መካከል አንዱ የምስራቅ አፍሪካን ፖለቲካ አብጠርጥሮ ያውቃል ብለው ወደገመቱት የፖለቲካ ባለሞያ ቀረብ ብለው “ስለ ደመቀ መኮንን የምታውቀውን ንገረኝ?” አሉት። ለዓመታት የምሥራቅ አፍሪካን የፖለቲካ ግለት ሲለካ ለነበረው ባለሞያ ጥያቄው ዱብ ዕዳ ብቻ ሳይኾን፤ በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ በአንድ ቀበሌ ስለሚኖር አንድ ተራ ግለሰብ ዝርዝር ጉዳይ የመጠየቅ ጉዳይ ኾኖ ተሰማው። ስለአቶ ደመቀ የሚያውቀው ጉዳይ ቢኖርም ለበሰለ የፖለቲካ ተዋስዖ የሚበቃ አልነበረም። መረጃ በሌለው ጉዳይ ላይ ዝምታን ቢመርጥም ጉዳዩ ከንክኖት ስለነበር በተራው ጠያቂ ኾነ፤ “ደመቀን በተመለከተ ምን አዲስ ነገር አለ?” ምላሹም በዲፕሎማሲያዊ ቃና የታሸ ነበር። “ [ደመቀ] ቦታ ሳይያዝለት አልቀረም”- አጠር ምጥን ያለ ምላሽ።

ባለሞያው ተጨማሪ ማብራሪያ አላሻውም። ይልቁንም ነገሮች ከጠበቀው ውጪ እየተራመዱ እንደኾኑ ይበልጥ ግልጽ ኾነው ታዩት። በእርግጥም የኢትዮጵያ ፖለቲካ እንደወትሮው ሁሉ ከግምት ውጪ የኾኑ ክስተቶችን እያስተናገደ ነበር። አቶ ደመቀን እንዲህ ላለ ከፍተኛ ስልጣን ማንም የገመተ አልነበረም። በአብዛኛው የምክትል ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትርነት ማዕረግ ከሕወሓት ወይም ከኦሕዴድ እጅ ያመልጣል የሚል ግምት አልነበረም። በተለይ ለአመታት ‹‹ከስልጣኑ ስገለል ኖሪያለሁ›› የሚለው ኦሕዴድ ከስልጣን ቅብብሎሹ ተጋሪ ይኾናል የሚል ዕምነት በብዙዎች ዘንድ ነበር።

ይኹንና የቅርብ ተንታኞችም ኾኑ የአገሬው ዜጋ ሳይሰማ የብአዴን ተወካይ አቶ ደመቀ ትልቁን የሥልጣን እርከን እንደሚቆጣጠሩ እንግሊዞች “ደርሰውበት” ኖሯል። ከቀናት በኋላም የኾነው ይህ ነበር። በእዛው ሣምንት ቅዳሜ ምሽት ኢህአዴግ አቶ ደመቀን የግንባሩ ምክትል ሊቀመንበር አድርጎ “መረጠ”። በእለቱ የተሰራጨው ዜና ለብዙሃኑ የፖለቲካው ነፋስ አቅጣጫ ተንባዮች እና ዜጎች አዲስ ቢኾንም ቀመሩን ለሠሩት ለአሜሪካ፣ ለእንግሊዝ፣ ለአቶ ስዩም መስፍን እና ለአቶ በረከት ስምዖን ግን የቤት ሥራው በወጉ መጠናቀቁን “የሚያበስር” ነበር። “ቦታ ሳይያዝለት አልቀረም” የምትለዋ ዲፕሎማሲያዊ ሐረግም ፍቺዋን አገኘች።

ምስጢራዊነት ትልቁ የፖለቲካው ማቀንቀኛ መድረኩ የኾነ የፖለቲካ አመራር ሥፍራውን በተቆጣጠረበት አገር ግምቶች ሁሉ ፉርሽ ናቸው። ኢህአዴግ እና ምስጢረኝነት ደግሞ የዘመናት ቁርኝት አላቸው። ግንባሩ በትጥቅ ትግል ወቅት ስኬታማ ከኾነባቸው መንገዶች አንዱ የኾነውን ጥብቅ የምስጢር ጠባቂነት ወግ የመንግሥት ሥልጣንንም በእጁ ካስገባባት ከ1983 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ እስከ አሁን ድረስ የሙጥኝ ብሎ ይዟል። የሟቹ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር አልጋ ላይ መዋልን ተከትሎም በተለያዩ የብዙሐን መገናኛ ዘዴዎች ሲወራ የነበረውን “ዜና እረፍት” በዚሁ የምስጢረኝነት ጠባዩ በመጽናት እስከመጨረሻዋ ሰዓት ድረስ ሲያስተባብል ቆይቷል። በማስተባበሉ ሂደትም ግንባሩ የሥልጣን ሽግግሩን ጉዳይ አፍኖ ቢይዝም ውስጥ ውስጡን ግን ከለጋሽ አገራት በተለይም ከእንግሊዝ እና አሜሪካ ጋር በመኾን ቀመሩን ሲያሰላ ነበር።
