አቶ በረሃነ ገ/ክርስቶስ የኢሕአዲግ አባላት ከሆኑት ዲፕሎማቶች ጋር ተወዛገቡ

-የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስቴር ተጠባባቂ ሚኒስትር አቶ በረሃነ ገ/ክርስቶስ የኢሕአዲግ አባላት ከሆኑት ዲፕሎማቶች ጋር መወዛገባቸውን የቅርብ ምንጮችን የጠቀሱ ዘገባዎች ይፋ አድርገዋል የውዝግቡ መነሻ የኢሕአዲግ አባላት ያልሆኑ ዲፕሎማቶች ለስራ በመታጨታቸው ነው።

የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር ተጠባባቂ ሚንስትር  አቶ በረሃነ ገ/ክርስቶስ ከምክትላቸው ከአቶ ነጋ ፀጋዬ ጋር በመሩት ሥብሰባ ላይ ሙሉ በሙሉ ሊባል በሚቻል ደረጃ የኢሕአዲግ አባላት የሆኑ ዲፕሎማቶች የተገኙበት መሆኑም ተመልክቷል። ለውዝግቡ መነሻ የሆነው የአፍሪካ ሕብረት የወቅቱ ለቀመንበርነት ተረኛ ኢትዮጲያ ከመሆኗ ጋር የተያያዘ ነው ተብሏል።

የአፍሪካ ሕብረት የወቅቱ ለቀመንበርነት ቦታ በመጪው ጥር ኢትዮጲያ እንደምትቀበል በመረጋገጡ ይህንን ኋላፊነት ለመወጣት የማስተባበሩን ሥራ የሚሰሩት አንጋፋዋ ዲፕሎማት ቆንጂት ሥነ ጊዮርጊስ ረዳት እንዲሆኗቸው ሦስት ዲፕሎማቶችን ይጠቁማሉ አምባሳደሯ የጠቆሟቸው ሦስቱ ግለሰቦች የፓርቲ አባላት አለመሆናቸው የኢሕአዲግ አባላት የሆኑ ዲፕሎማቶችን አስቆጥቷል።

አምባሳደር በረሃነ ገ/ክርስቶስ የአንዳፋዋን ዲፕሎማት አስተዋፅኦ በመዘርዘር ስለ አስፈላጊነታቸው ሲያነሱ ይበልጥ ተቃውሞ እንደገጠማቸው ስብሰባውን በፈለጉት ሠዓት ለመጨረስ እንኳን ከተሰብሳቢው እንዳልተፈቀደላቸው የተገኘው ዜና ያብራራል መስሪያ ቤቱን የመምራት ብቃት የለህም እስከመባል መድረስም ተመልክቷል።

ከምርጫ 97 በኋላ ልምድና ዕውቀት ያላቸው ዲፕሎማቶች መስሪያ ቤቱን ጥለው በመሄዳቸው ከ 200 በላይ የኢሃዲግ አባላት ሥልጠና ተሰጥቷቸው ውጭ ጉዳይን መቀላቀላቸውን መረዳት ተችሏል።

አምባሳደር ቆንጅት ሥነ ጊዮርጊስ በአፍሪካ ህብረት እንዲሁም በተባበሩት መንግስታት ኢኮኖሚክ ኮሚሽን የኢትዮጲያ አምባሳደር ናቸው ከንጉሡ ግዜ በውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር ውስጥ በማገልገል ላይ ይገኛሉ።

አቶ በረከት ስምዖን በኢትዮጲያ ፖለቲካ ውስጥ ያላቸው ሚና እየጎላ መምጣቱ እየተነገረ ነው

የመንግስት ኮሚኒኬሽን ጉዳዮች ሚኒስትር አቶ በረከት ስምዖን በኢትዮጲያ ፖለቲካ ውስጥ ያላቸው ሚና እየጎላ መምጣቱ በሕወሐት ሰዎች ዝንድ ቅሬታ መቀስቀሱና በአንዳንዶችም ዝንድ ቁጣ ማስከተሉ እየተሰማ ነው አቶ በረከትም ከጀርባ ሆነው ከሚያደርጉት እንቅስቃሴ ወጥተው የፊት መስመር ላይ በግልፅ መታየት ጀምረዋል።

በጠ/ሚ/ር ኋ/ማርያም ደሳለኝ የተመራ የልዑካ ቡድን ወደ ኬንያ ናይሮቢ በተጓዘበት ወቅት የልዑኩ 2ኛ ሰው ሆነው ከኬንያው ጠ/ሚ/ር ጋር ሲፈራረሙ የታዩት አቶ በረከት ስምዖን ናቸው።አቶ በረከት ስምዖን ያላቸው ይፋዊ ስልጣን በሚንስትር ማዕረግ የኮሚኒኬሽን ፅ/ቤት ኋላፊ ሲሆን ይህም ከሁሉም የሚንስትር መስሪያ ቤቶች ዝቅ ያል ስፍራ መሆኑም ታውቋል። ሆኖም አቶ በረከት ሥምዖን በሐገሪቱ ፖለቲካ ውስጥ ያላቸው ሚና እጅግ እየገዘፈ መጥቷል።

ጠ/ሚ/ር ኋ/ማርያም ደሳለኝ ለተባበሩት መንግስታት ጉባኤ ወደ አሜሪካ ኒውዮርክ ባቀኑበት ወቅት በሐገር ቤት በሁለቱ ሱዳኖች መካከል በተካሄደው ድርድርና ሥምምነት የኢትዮጲያን ምንግስት ወክለው የተገኙት አቶ በረከት ሥምዖን ነበሩ ምክትል ጠ/ሚ/ር ሆነው የተሾሙት አቶ ደመቀ መኮንን በሐገር ቤት የነበሩ ቢሆንም በስፍራው አልታየም።

ሠሞኑን ወደ ኬንያ ከተጓዘው የኢትዮጲያ ልዑካን ቡድኑ ጋር አብረው ናይሮቢ የደረሱት አቶ በረከት ሥምዖን ከኬንያው 2ኛ ሰው ጋር ሲፈራረሙ ታይተዋል።

አቶ ኋ/ማሪያም ደሳልኝ ከሐገሪቱ ፕሬዝዳንት ሞዋይ ኪባኪ ጋር ሲፈራረሙ የኬንያው 2ኛ ሰው ጠ/ሚ/ር ራይላ ኦዲንጋ ከአቶ በረከት ሥምዖን ጋር ተፈራርመዋል።

ሚኒስቴር መስሪያ ቤት የሚመሩት የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚንስትር አቶ ብርሃነ ገ/ክርስቶስ የገንዘብ ሚንስትሩ አቶ  ሦፍያን አህመድ በስፍራው የነበሩ ቢሆንም የፅ/ቤት ኋላፊው አቶ በረከት ሥምዖን ከፊታቸው ቀድመው ተገኝተዋል።

አቶ በረከት ሥምዖን በኢትዮጲያ ፖለቲካ ውስጥ እየጎሉ መምጣታቸው ከስርአቱ በተለዩትም ሆነ ከስርአቱ ጋር አብረው በዘለቁት የሕወሐት ሰዎች ዝንድ እንዳልተወደደ እየተሰማ ነው የሕወሐት ሠዎች የፊት መስመሩ ላይ በግልፅ ቁጥር አንድ ላይ ባይታዩም በፖለቲካው በኢኮኖሚውም ሆነ በፀጥታውም ያላቸው ጉልህ ሚና መጠቀሱም ታውቋል።

Terror case against 29 Ethiopians unconstitutional

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia — Defense lawyers have told the Ethiopian High Federal Court that terrorism charges against 29 Muslims are unconstitutional.

Federal prosecutors are accusing the 29, which includes prominent clerics, journalists and activists, with terrorism and attempts to create an Islamic state. Tensions have been rising between the government in this mostly Christian country and Muslim worshippers that have led to anti-government protests.

On Thursday one of the defense lawyers for the 29 said that they expect the court to throw the case out. The court will decide on Nov. 30 if it has jurisdiction over the case and whether the charges, partly based on the country’s controversial anti-terrorism law, is constitutional.

Rights groups say the Ethiopian government provoked the protests by trying to impose a specific interpretation of Islam.

On 31st October 2012 the blogger of semnaworeq.blogspot.com wrote and published a critical article on Berhanena Selam Printing Enterprise; entitled “ብርሃንና ሰላም = ጽልመትና ሽብር”. After the article’s publication on AddisGuday (a local weekly Amharic Magazine), the angry and the irresponsible authorities of the Printing Enterprise wrote such a stumbling letter to defend their bosses.

This blogger will work and continue his tireless contribution to the people of Ethiopia by serving the truth and only the truth. The blogger is not an agent for any one. His concern and primary wish is to see free speech and individual Rights prior to the EPRDFists’ jock which says “Ethnic Rights First.”

As the Great book says, “The truth and only the truth that set you free”, I am committed to serve only the truth in blog until all Ethiopians are given their natural right to express their views freely in and out of Ethiopia courageously. So, the administrative bottle-neck which the ruling party states must be challenged until it respects the individual right here in Ethiopia.

ኢሳት ዜና:- ከፒያሳ ተነስቶ፤ በመርካቶ በኩል አቋርጦ አብነት በታች የሚገኘው የኮካ ኮላ ፋብሪካ ጋር ይደርሳል ተብሎ የታሰበው የመጀመሪያው የባቡር ሃዲድ ዝርጋታ፣ በአጼ ኃይለ-ስላሴ ዘመነ መንግስት የተተከለውን የብጹዕ አቡነ ጴጥሮስ ሃውልት ለዘመናት ከነበረበት ስፍራ በቅርቡ እንደሚነሳ የአዲስ አበባ መስተዳድር አስታውቋል።

ምንም እንኳን አሁን በይፋ ባይገለጽም የደብረ-ጽጌ ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ ቤተክርስቲያን ፊት ለፊት የሚገኘው የአጼ ምኒልክ ሃውልትም ከዚሁ የባቡር ሃዲድ መስመር ስራ ጋር በተያያዘ ካለበት ቦታ ሳይነሳ እንደማይቀር ውስጥ አዋቂዎች እየተናገሩ ናቸው።

በ1928 ዓ.ም የፋሺሽት ኢጣሊያ ጦር አገራችንን በዕብሪት በወረረበት ወቅት በዱር በገደሉ የሚዋደቁት አርበኞችን በማበረታታትና በመደገፍ የሚታወቁት ብፁዕ አቡነ ጴጥሮስ፣ በኢጣሊያ ጦር ላይ የሚነዙትን የማጥላላት ስብከት በማቆም ለወራሪው ጦር እንዲያድሩ በተደጋጋሚ ቢጠየቁም ፈቃደኛ ባለመሆን “ፋሺሽቶች ያገራችንን አርበኞች ሽፍታ ቢሉ እውነት እንዳይመስላችሁ፣ ሽፍታ ማለት ያለ አገሩ መጥቶ የሰው አገር የሚወር ይህ በመካከላችሁ የቆመው አረመኔው የፋሺሽት ጦር ነው። እንኳን የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ምድሪቱ ለኢጣሊያ እንዳትገዛ አውግዣለሁ!” በማለት ሰኔ 21 ቀን 1931 ዓ.ም በግፍ በመትረየስ የጥይት እሩምታ ተድብድበው የተገደሉት፣ ይኸው አሁን እንዲነሳ ከተወሰነበት ሃውልታቸው ቆሞ ከሚገኝበት ስፍራ ላይ ነው።

ጉዳዩን በማስመለክት በሚጽፋቸው ጽሁፎችና በሚሰጣቸው አስተያየቶች ብስለት ከፍተኛ እውቅና ያተረፈው ዲያቆን ዳንኤል በብሎጉ ላይ ባሰፈረው ጽሁፍ ” ይህን ታሪክና ቅርስ እያጠፉና እያበላሹ የሚመጣ ለውጥ አንገት ቆርጦ ፀጉርን እንደማስተካከል ነው የሚቆጠረው፡፡ እናም የሚመለከታቸው ሁሉ ወደ ርምጃ ከመግባታቸው በፊት ሦስት ጊዜ ሊያስቡ ይገባል፡፡ መቼም የመጀመርያውን ባቡር ያስገቡትን የዐፄ ምኒሊክን ሐውልት አፍርሶ ባቡር እናስገባ ማለት የታሪክ ምጸት ነው፡፡ ለነጻነት የተሠውትን የአቡነ ጴጥሮስ ሐውልት ነቅሎ በባቡር ላይ በነጻነት ለመሄድ መከጀል ግፍ መሥራት ነው የሚሆነው፡፡” በማለት ድርጊቱን ነቅፎአል።

ዲያቆን ዳንኤል ለኢሳት እንደገለጸው በተለያዩ አገሮች ሀውልቶች አደጋ ላይ እንዳያወድቁ እንደሚነሱ ገልጾ፣ በሀውልቱ ዙሪያ በቂ መረጃ ባለመሰጠቱ ጥርጣሬ እንዲያደርግበት እንዳደረገው ገልጿል  ( 01፡19- 3፡10)

የባቡር ግንባታው ከተጠናቀቀ በሁዋላ ሀውልቱን ሌላ ቦታ ላይ ለማቆም መንግስት ቢፈልግ፣ ችግር ያመጣል ወይ በማለት ለቀረበለት ጥያቄ ዲያቆን ዳንኤል፣ ሀውልቱ የተተከለበት ቦታ አቡኑ የተሰውበት ቦታ በመሆኑ ወደ ሌሎች አካባቢዎች ወስዶ መትከሉ ታሪካዊ ፋይዳውን እንደሚያደበዝዘው ተናግሯል ( 4፡00-05፡07   )

መንግስት ለኢትዮጵያ ቅርሶችና ታሪክ ተገቢውን ክብር አይሰጥም እየተባለ ይተቻል፣ ሀውልቱን ለማንሳት የተፈለገው ከዚህ አንጻር ይሆን ተብሎ ለተጠየቀው ዲያቆን ዳንኤል ሲመልስ ” አይመስለኝም፣  በባለስልጣናት መካከል በተፈጠረ አለመናበብ የተፈጠረ ችግር ይመስለኛል” በማለት መልሶአል (  06፡07- 07፡41   )

በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተክርስቲያን “ቅዱስ” የተሰኙት ብፁዕ አቡነ ጴጥሮስ፣ ከተወለዱበት ፍቼ ከተማ ላይ በስማቸው ቤተክርስቲያን እንደተተከላቸው ይታወሳል በማለት ቅዱስ ሀብት በላቸው ከአውስትራሊያ ዘግቧል።

በባድሜ ግንባር ኢሳትን ሲመለከቱ የተገኙ የመከላከያ ሰራዊት አባላት ታስረው ተፈቱ

ኢሳት ዜና:- ስሙ እንዳይገለጽ የፈለገ አንድ ባለማእረግ መኮንን ከኢሳት ጋር ባደረገው ቃለምልልስ እንደገለጸው በክበባቸው ውስጥ በናይልሳት ቻናል የኢሳትን ዝግጅት ሲከታተሉ የተገኙ በርካታ ወታደሮች ከ14 ቀናት እስር በሁዋላ በከባድ ማስጠንቀቂያ ተለቀዋል።

ወታደሮቹ የዲሻቸውን አቅጣጫ ወደ ናይል ሳይት ያዞሩት የውጭ ፊልሞችን ለመከታተል በማሰብ እንጅ ኢሳት የሚባል ጣቢያ መኖሩን በማወቃቸው አለመሆኑን ለአለቆቻቸው ተናግረው መፈታታቸውን መኮንኑ ተናግሯል።

በሰራዊቱ ውስጥ ያለው አጠቃላይ ስሜት ጥሩ አይደለም የሚለው መኮንኑ ከኢኮኖሚ ችግር ባለፈ ከፍተኛ የሆነ የአስተዳዳር በደልና በዘር መከፋፈል ይታያል ብሎአል።

አብዛኛው የሰራዊት አባላት መከላከያን የተቀላቀሉት በኢኮኖሚ ችግር ምክንያት ቢሆንም ፣ በተለይ ከኮሎኔልነት በታች ማእረግ ያላቸው ወታደሮች ከተራው ወታደር ያላነሰ ገቢና ተደማጭነት እንደሌላቸው ተናግሯል።

በሰራዊቱ ውስጥ ጥሩ የሚባል መንፈስ እንደሌለ የሚገልጸው መኮንኑ ፣ በተለይ በአሁኑ ሰአት ያለው ሁኔታ ከመቼውም ጊዜ በላይ የከፋ መሆኑን አክሏል።

ከኮሎኔልነት በላይ ማእረግ ያላቸው አዛዦች ከበታቾቻቸው ጋር ሲነጻጻሩ በተሻለ የአኗኗር ሁኔታ ላይ እንደሚገኙ ተራው ወታደር ሳይቀር እንደሚያውቅ መኮንኑ ተናግሯል

በመጨረሻም የመከላከያ አዛዦች በኢትዮጵያ ዋና ዋና ከተሞች ዘመናዊ ቤቶችን ሰርተው እንደሚያከራዩ በተለያዩ የመገናኛ ብዙሀን ይቀርባል ሰራዊቱ ይህን ያውቃል ወይ? ተብሎ ለተጠየቀው፣ ሰራዊቱ ሁሉንም ነገር ጠንቅቆ እንደሚያውቅ ተናግሯል።

ኢሳት ከወራት በፊት የተለያዩ ከፍተኛ ወታደራዊ መኮንኖች ሰርተው የሚያከራዩዋቸውን ቤቶች እና የቤቶችን ዋጋ ይፋ አድርጎ ነበር።

በወረዳ 17፣ በቦሌ መድሀኒአለም አካባቢ ጄኔራል ወዲ አሸብር የሚያሰሩት የንግድ ድርጅት፣ 55 ሚሊዮን የሚፈጅ ሲሆን ፣ ኮሎኔል ታደሰ የሚያሰሩት እና ካልዲስ ኮፊ የተከራየው ደግሞ 12 ሚሊዮን ብር ወጪ ወጥቶበታል። ከዚሁ ህንጻ ጀርባ ጄነራል ዮሀንስ የሚያሰሩት ህንጻ ደግሞ 45 ሚሊዮን ብር ይወጣበታል። ጄነራል ባጫ ደበሌ ለኤቢሲ ካር ሬንት ያከራዩት ቤት ደግሞ 9 ሚሊዮን ወጪ አውጥቷል።

በዝርፊያው ተጠርጥረው ከታሰሩት ውስጥ በዩኒቨርሲቲው ውስጥ በፍሪላንሰርነትና በቋሚነት የሚያገለግሉ ሠራተኞች እንደሚገኙበት ተመልክቷል፡፡

በዩኒቨርሲቲው ተከስቷል ስለተባለው ዝርፊያ ማብራሪያ እንዲሰጡ የተጠየቁት የአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሕዝብ ግንኙነት ኃላፊ አቶ ነፃነት ይልማ፦ ‹‹ጉዳዩን ፖሊስ ስለያዘው ምንም ማለት አልችልም፤›› የሚል ምላሽ ሰጥተዋል።

በዝርፊያው ተጠርጥረው በጃንሜዳ አካባቢ በሚገኘው ፖሊስ ጣቢያ ስለታሰሩት ተጠርጣሪዎችና ፖሊስ ስለደረሰበት የምርመራ ውጤት ማብራሪያ ለማግኘት የተደረገው ጥረት አለመሳካቱም ተገልጿል፡፡

Not religious. It’s a political movement and own it!

So goes the saying: “if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s a duck.” What if it does not look like an eagle but it really

 is an eagle, seriously? Despite its peaceful and somewhat slow paced nature, what the Ethiopian Muslims are undertaking looks like revolution. Defiance and determination are crucially important revolutionary qualities, and there is no dearth of them in the undertakings of the Ethiopian Muslims. A peaceful, sustained, determined and defiance of the TPLF led regime political intervention in religion.  It’s a revolution in progress.

Yes, unlike most other revolutions in history, Ethiopian Muslims movement is free of spontaneous emotional actions. For instance, their march to Kaliti, the famous and infamous prison place in the outskirts of Addis Ababa, this week did not end up like the storming of Bastille –which was an important event in the famous French Revolution. Moderation did not overshadow the purpose it was intended for- which was visiting their arrested leaders. When hundreds of thousands of people march to prison to visit incarcerated leaders, it is not a social act. It is a political act. The way it unfolds itself is political. Its message is political too. In the process, it is shaping, I believe, consciousness in how to transform peaceful struggle into a revolutionary act.

Erstwhile strategies of domesticating and/or repressing peaceful demands are not working this time around and failed to outsmart the insight, bravery, subtlety and determination of the movement. What usually happens is that whenever there is peaceful struggle with a demand for justice or pursuit of political rights in a political way, TPLF led government swings to its habit of putting leaders of the movement behind bars apart from launching brutal atrocities, and then demands that caused the movement end up being relegated to demands of securing the release of leaders behind bars. In fact, that is not just it. Intensifying negative propaganda campaign, thanks to media monopoly of the government, putting activism for a cause in a bad light, framing it for “legal” attack and outright repression are norms for the governing TPLF dominated government. Movements in the past experienced all these entanglements and in most cases fell victim to it.

What distinguishes Ethiopian Muslim movement from all the previous movements is that it endured all the negative propaganda and atrocious attacks (attacks in Gerba ,Degan and Dessie comes to mind) and it is marching forward, as it should like a revolution.  Of course, the movement has already achieved something extraordinary: it disempowered ethnic ideology and unified people from all language speaking groups and the bond looks strong. Far from being suspicious about the movement, on grounds of alleged “Islamist agenda” driven by expatriate extremists – as government did try to project it, majority of the non-Muslim Ethiopians are relishing it and are sympathetic about it. Apparently, the piquant glance emanates partly from the history of Islam in Ethiopia and partly from the strong social bond between Ethiopian Muslims and Ethiopian Christians. Clearly, many Ethiopians are convinced that the Ethiopian Muslims are not in the business of selling out their country and non-Muslim Ethiopians for expatriate Muslims – whatever their agenda is. Yet, it has to be admitted that there is still a significant number that is not at ease with and even suspicious about the movement.

We have to be clear about the demands. Although, the movement is being undertaken by Ethiopian Muslims, there is really nothing that is purely religious or even religious about the movement. What they are resisting (in fact now it is in a stage of defiance, which is revolutionary) is political intervention from TPLF dominated government which manifested itself in three forms: that government should not appoint, clandestinely, its own personnel to their Islamic council, that government should not orchestrate (in any form) infiltration of strange Islamic teachings (they refer to it- Al-Ahbash) to their congregation and that government should not interfere in the business of running their Islamic school.

These demands are, as Mesfin Negash expounded a few months back, related to, and in a fundamental way, assertion of (or defending) constitutional rights and there is nothing apolitical about it. When constitution and assertion of rights are involved (it does not matter whether the issue are related to religion or not), and when these assertion is pursued outside of the courts in a very political way due to the very political nature of the “justice system”, the movement is clearly not religious. In that case, the process through which the assertion of rights are pursued and what the process results in are inevitably political.

And this is what makes the Ethiopian Muslims movement more of a “rights movement” rather than a religious one (as it is related to assertion of constitutional rights outside of the court) and this is why non-Muslim Ethiopians need to take up the issue aggressively and own it instead of disowning the movement on illusory religious grounds and on grounds of manufactured suspicion. Even if we assume that the alleged unEthiopian root of the movement is true and the “agenda” it seeks to promote is something “radical”- in which case it would be political again, disowning the movement does not render service to skepticism that is lingering among some Ethiopians. Yet, I want to be clear on this matter: as a person who grew up where religious difference did not matter in social interaction, where religious difference did not cause conflict, and where religious difference did not even matter in marriage (not because people were less pious about their faiths but because social harmony was so strong), there is no reason to buy the pessimist propaganda of “hidden agenda” and disown the political movement simply because Ethiopian Muslims took the initiative to be serious about their rights  and happened to be harbingers of impending “rights revolution” (not to be confused with the US “rights revolution” in the 1960’s). The movement is not religious. It’s political movement.

Republicans increase pressure on Obama over Rice

(CNN) — Republicans this week increased pressure on President Barack Obama to drop any thought of nominating U.N.

Ambassador Susan Rice as secretary of state.

In a letter to Obama, 97 House Republicans questioned Rice’s credibility “at home and around the world” after her “misleading” public statements about the origin of the deadly September attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.

Written and circulated by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-South Carolina), Monday’s letter was the latest in a barrage of Republican criticism of the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi situation before and after the attack.

Critics have aggressively focused on Rice’s comments on television talk shows five days after the armed assault. Rice said a small number of people came to the mission in a spontaneous reaction to demonstrations occurring in Egypt over the anti-Muslim film, but the Benghazi protest was hijacked by armed extremists.

Senior administration officials later said Rice was speaking from talking points prepared for official use, and said the word “spontaneous” was a poor choice to describe what is now understood to have been a terrorist attack. Killed in the assault were Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. Rice never mentioned terrorists.

“Ambassador Rice propagated a falsehood that the attacks were ‘spontaneous,’” the congressional letter said, and she “is widely viewed as having either willfully or incompetently misled the American public in the Benghazi matter.”

The letter said Rice’s actions “plausibly give” U.S. allies and rivals a reason to question American commitment and credibility.

“Thus, we believe that making her the face of U.S. foreign policy in your second term would greatly undermine your desire to improve U.S. relations with the world and continue to build trust with the American people,” the letter said.

Rice is thought to be on the president’s short list of nominees to succeed Hillary Clinton as America’s top diplomat. Clinton said she plans to leave after Obama is sworn in for a second term in January and her successor is in place.

On Monday, the spokesman for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said the intelligence community was responsible for substantive changes made to the talking points distributed for government officials to use to talk publicly about the attack.

Rep. Peter King, R-New York, told reporters after a hearing last week that original unclassified talking points were “much more specific about al Qaeda involvement” with the final draft just saying there were “indications of extremists.”

The Republican-led House Intelligence Committee said it wanted to “discuss this new explanation” with James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, as soon as possible.

Some Republican members of Congress have suggested the changes came from within the Obama administration — from the White House, the Justice Department or another government agency.

Sen. John McCain, a harsh critic of the administration on Benghazi and of Rice’s comments about it, said in a statement on Tuesday about changes to the talking points that questions remain unanswered.

“But this latest episode is another reason why many of us are so frustrated with, and suspicious of, the actions of this administration when it comes to the Benghazi attack,” McCain said.

Obama called out McCain and fellow Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham last week for their “outrageous” comments that they would block any nomination of Rice for secretary of state.

“If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after someone, they should go after me,” Obama said at a news conference.

በክልሉ የህወሀት ባለስልጣናትና ጥቂት ዘመዶቻቸው በምቾት  ቢኖሩም፤ አብዛኛው የትግራይ ህዝብ ግን  ከ21 ዓመት የህወሀት አገዛዝ በሁዋላ የተጣራ ንፁህ የመጠጥ ውሀ እንኳ ማግኘት አልቻለም።

የክልሉ ቁንጮ ባለስልጣናት  መቀሌ ውስጥ ከህብረተሰቡ መኖሪያ ራቅ ባለ ከፍታማ ቦታ በከፍተኛ ወጪ  ለራሳቸው መኖሪያ የሚሆኑ ዘመናዊ ቪላዎችን እየገነቡ እንደሚገኙና አብዛኛው ህዝብ ወደዚያ እንደማይደርስ ፤ ይህ የባለስልጣናቱ መኖሪያ አካባቢም በከተማው ነዋሪ ዘንድ <አፓርታይድ መንደር> ተብሎ እንደሚጠራ በተደጋጋሚ መዘገባችን ይታወሳል።

ይህ በእንዲህ እንዳለ ከህወሀት የተቀነሱት ነባር ታጋዮች ብዙዎች  በልመና መሰማራታቸውን ለማወቅ ተችሎአል።

ከመቀሌ ለኢሳት የተላከው መረጃ እንዳመለከተው በ17 አመታቱ የትጥቅ ትግል የታገሉ እና በጉዳት ወይም በሌሎች ምክንያቶች ከድርጅቱ የተባረሩ ታጋዮች በከፍተኛ ድህነት ውስጥ በመግባታቸው ብዙዎች ወደ ልመና ተሰማርተዋል።

ህወሀት ከ120 ሺ በላይ በጦርነቱ ወቅት  አካል ጉዳተኞች የሆኑትን መልሶ ለማቋቋም ከኢፈርት ገንዘብ በማውጣት እንደረዳ ይፋ ቢያደርግም፣ በትክክል ተጠቃሚ የሆኑት ግን እጅግ አነስተኛ መሆናቸውን መረጃው ያሳያል።

በአንጻሩ የህወሀት መሪዎች አብዛኞቹ ልጆቻቸውን በውጭ አገራት ልከው ከማስተማር ባሻገር ፣ በመንግስት ወጪ የውጭ ህክምና ከማግኘት ባሻገር በስማቸው ሰማይ ጠቀስ ፎቆችን ሰርተው ያከራያሉ ይላል መረጃው።

እነዚሁ ነባር የህወሀት የአመራር የነበሩ ግለሰቦች  በላኩት መረጃ የህወሀት ንብረት የሆነው ኢፈርት ትርፉን ሳይጨምር ቋሚ ሀብቱ ብቻ ከ50 ቢሊዮን ብር በላይ መሆኑን ጠቅሰዋል። ድርጅቱ በእየአመቱ የሚያጋብሰው ትርፍ ሲደመር የአጠቃላይ ሀብት መጠኑ በተመሳሳይ መንገድ ሊጨምር እንደሚችል ጠቅሰዋል። የህወሀት አጠቃላይ የሀብት መጠን የኢትዮጵያ መንግስት በእየአመቱ ለ90 ሚሊዮን ህዝብ ከሚመድበው አመታዊ በጀት ጋር እየተስተካከለ መምጣቱን ለማወቅ ተችሎአል።

Thousands of Ethiopian Muslims were there to visit their jailed leaders, on Sunday 18 November 2012. According to eyewitnesses, the queue stretched for several kilometers, prompting the nervous looking wardens to call for massive reinforcement.woman shouted at a federal police officer who was  busy removing the number plates of cars parked near the main gate of the notorious Kality prison.

At 9 pm, when a contingent of traffic police and federal police members began to arrive, the largely Christian residents of Kality zone in eastern Addis Ababa flocked to the area in heartwarming solidarity with their Muslim brothers and sisters to act as human shield.

Soon, the weak and the infirm were taken to nearby Christian homes for refreshments while angry youth of Kality fearlessly engaged the number plate removing Trojan horses of the ruling minority junta.

As the day progressed, aghast at the brutal way the Muslim communities have been treated; more Christians arrived carrying with them meals and drinks.

“This is what we Ethiopians are known for. Uniting in the face of danger. If the federal police attacks any Muslim here we will respond accordingly.” A confident Christian young man told the Horn Times Reporters.

“Allah Waa Akbar…guys am overwhelmed I can’t talk. Am a proud Ethiopian Muslim.” An emotional 46 year old Fatima Nurdeen said.

Although only few hundreds were managed to see their incarcerated leaders, relatives and friends, the event ended without incident much to the delight of the residents of Kality zone.

Human right violations alarmingly increasing in Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA- After the death of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, the late Ethiopian Prime Minister, the number of human right violations committed by the government on members, supporters, and representatives of All Ethiopia Unity Party (AEUP), one of the most important opposition political parties working under the narrowest political landscape of the country, has been alarmingly increasing. Different reports are indicating that after the death of the Prime Minister thousands of members and supporters of the AEUP have become victims of the brutal human right violations committed by the Ethiopian government just due to their political belief. The victims also include women, children and retired people.

Mr. Wondemagegnhu Deneke, the vice president of AEUP said in an interview on November 10, 2012 that following the death of the Prime Minister the head office of the party received a plenty of reports every day about serious human right violations committed by the government security officers and its cadres from respective branch offices located in different parts of the country.

“Let me tell you what the report I have received an hour ago says”, said Mr. Deneke, “the day before yesterday the government security officers destroyed the houses of 10 members of the party – now these people are homeless and in complicated problem.”

Mr. Deneke said that the violations include murder, torture, arbitrary arrest, preventing from participating in traditional social institutions, pillaging, destroying farms and houses, and forcibly evacuating without compensation.

The violations are said to be planned to crack down AEUP, which is the largest and most mass-based multi-ethnic party that is a potential threat to the governing party, Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), which has been weakened due to the death of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi-who was the only master mind of the policies, strategies, and international relations of the regime.

Considering the gravity of the situation, AEUP has recently submitted a press release with the list of some of the violations to the United Nation (UN), European Union, different human rights organizations, embassies, and media.

“We need the world to look into Ethiopia and realize what is happening throughout the country”, Mr. Deneke said, “we need western governments to give attention to the human rights crisis in Ethiopia and to exert pressure on the tyrannical Ethiopian government to respect the human rights and freedoms of citizens.”Currently, there are multiple reports indicating that the crisis could get worse more than ever been. However, Mr. Deneke said that whatever the government did – AEUP would never give up.”We are committed to accomplish our objective we stand for. We will keep struggling to step-down the tyrannical regime, and to assure the full respect of individual and people’s fundamental rights and freedoms.”

Following the press release of AEUP, many Ethiopian political activists are arguing that the steadily deteriorating human right situation clearly illustrates that the leadership of Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn, the new Ethiopian Prime Minister, is basically the same as Meles Zenawi’s one.

Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn has come to power replacing Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, who died of an undisclosed illness on August 20 in a Belgium hospital. Following his coming to power, it was expected that the poor human right record of Meles Zenawi’s leadership would be improved.

Ethiopia is a one party state with no freedom of assembly and freedom of the media, and is where opposition forces critical of the government are silenced in the most brutal fashion. Under Meles Zenawi’s 21 years leadership, the ruling party, EPRDF, was deliberately involved itself in gross human rights abuses on citizens. The reports of Amnesty International and other human rights organizations show that under his leadership thousands of people were arbitrary arrested, torched, and evacuated from their land while many others were killed, accused of supporting opposition political parties.

For instance, the recent report of the Human Rights Council shows that from January to the end of February 120 people were arbitrary arrested just in the Gamo Gofa Zone, Southern Nation and Nationalities People Regional State. The 2012 Amnesty International Annual Report also indicates that hundreds of Oromos were arbitrary arrested, accused of supporting the Oromo Liberation Front. In addition, many other reports reveal that hundreds of civilians were arbitrarily detained, torched, and killed in the Somali region on suspicion of supporting the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF).

Never Again!On June 6-8 and November 1-4, 2005, following the Ethiopian parliamentary elections in May of that year, hundreds of 

citizens who protested the theft of that election were killed or seriously wounded by police and security personnel under the exclusive command and control of the late Meles Zenawi. An official Inquiry Commission established jointly by Meles Zenawi and the Ethiopian parliament documented that 193 unarmed men, women and children demonstrating in the streets and scores of other detainees held in a high security prison were intentionally shot and killed by police and security officials. An additional 763 were wounded.

The Commission completely exonerated the victims and pinned the entire blame on the police and paramilitary forces.  The Commission concluded, “There was no property destroyed [by protesters]. There was not a single protester who was armed with a gun or a hand grenade as reported by the government-controlled media that some of the protesters were armed with guns and bombs. [The shots fired by government forces] were not intended to disperse the crowd but to kill by targeting the head and chest of the protesters.”

ያለ ምንም መጥሪያና በቅርብ ይጠባበቁ የነበሩ ፖሊሶች ይዘዋቸው በመሄድ ዓዲ ሀቂ ፖሊስ ጣብያ በተባለ እስር ቤት አስረዋቸውል ይላል መግለጫው።

የዓረና ትግራይ  የፅሕፈት ቤት ዶኩሜንትና የፅሕፈት ቤቱ ቁልፍ እንደተወሰደበት ፓርቲው ገልጿል።

ድርጊቱ በተፈጸመ ማግስት ፣ ህዳር 7 ቀን 2005 ዓም፣ የመቀሌ ዞን ፖሊስ ፅሕፈት ቤት ሓላፊዎች በፖሊስ ጣብያው ተገኝተው የዓረና ትግራይ ዶኩመንቶችን  ይዘው መሄዳቸውን መግለጫው አክሎ ገልጿል።

ወጣት አምዶምን የከሰሱት ግለሰቦች ለፖሊስ ከሰጡት ቃል መካከል  ‘ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር መለስ ዜናዊ ሞተው እኛ ስናለቅስ ዝም ብለዋል”በዚህም ተደስተዋል።” የሚል ይገኝበታል።

የዓረና ትግራይ ከፍተኛ ኣመራሮች በፖሊስ ጣብያው ተገኝተው ምንድ ነው ጥፋቱ በማለት ቢጠይቁም  የጣብያው ኣዛዥ ፖሊስ ወታሃደር የሀይስ   ” እኔ ቀስ ብየ ነው ጉዳዩን የማየው፣  ለምን ኣቀላጥፈዋለሁ “ተዘጋ ስላላችሁት ፅህፈት ቤትና ተዘረፈ ስላላችሁት ዶኩመንት እኔን ኣያገባኝም”  የሚል መልስ መስጠቱ ተመልክቷል።

ወጣት ዓምዶም ገ/ስላሴ 2002ዓ/ም በተካሄደው ሃገራዊ ምርጫ ዓረና ትግራይን ወክለው በደጉዓ ተምቤን ወረዳ(ሃገረ ሰላም) የተወዳደረ ሲሆን ፣ በወቅቱ የዓረና ትግራይ ኣባል በመሆኑ ብቻ ጋዜጠኛ ሆኖ ይሰራ ከነበረ በህወሓት ንብረትነት ከሚታወቀው ድምፂ ወያነ ትግራይ መባረራቸውም የሚታወስ ነው

“መገንጠል ለሚፈልግ ግዜዉ ሲደርስ መገንጠል መብቱ ነዉ” – በረከት ስምኦን

ኢትዮጵያን ነገስታት መርተዋታል፤ ወታደራዊ አምባገነኖች ጨፍረዉባታል፤ ዛሬ ደግሞ ዘረኛ አምባገነኖች ቁም ስቅሏን እያሳዩዋት ነዉ። እቺን ለአስተዋይ መሪዎች ያልታደለች የአስተዋዮች አገር ዛሬ አለም የሚያዉቃት በድህነት፤ በረሀብና በስደት ነዉ። ድህነት፤ ረሀብና ኋላ ቀርነት ኢትዮጵያ ላይ የተደቀኑ ታላላቅ አደጋዎች ቢሆኑም ዛሬ አገራችን ኢትዮጵያን ከምንም ነገር በላይ የሚያስፈራት ድህነትና ረሀብ ሳይሆን ወያኔ በግድ የጫነባት የመገነጣጠል አደጋ ነዉ።

በአባቶቻችን የደም መስዋዕትነት ተከብሮ የኖረዉ የኢትዮጵያ አንድነት የሚያሳስባቸዉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን “መገንጠል” የሚሉትን አደጋ ሲሰሙ ልባቸዉ የሚቀልጠዉ ወያኔ ህግ በመንግስቱ ዉስጥ መገንጠል ይቻላል ብሎ ስለጻፈ ብቻ አይደለም። አያሌ ኢትዮጳያዉያንን የሚያሳስባቸዉና የሚያስፈራቸዉ ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ ቁልፍ ቁልፉን የስልጣን ቦታዎች ቆንጥጠዉ የያዙት ሰዎች የሚናፍቃቸዉ የኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ሳይሆን የኢትዮጵያ መበታተን በመሆኑ ነዉ። ከእነዚህ የኢትዮጵያን ዉድቀትና መበታተን ከሚመኙ ከሀዲ ሰዎች ዉስጥ አንዱና ዋነኛዉ በረከት ስምኦን ነዉ።

በረከት ስምኦን የኢትዮጵያን ትልቅነት የሚያቀልሉና የኢትዮጵያን ህዝብ ማንነት የሚያሳንሱ አያሌ አጥንት የሚሰብሩ ንግግሮች ያደረገ እብሪተኛ ሰዉ ነዉ። በረከት እዉነትን ከዉሸት፤ ቁምነገርን ከቧልት አገርን ያክል ትልቅ ነገርና የቤቱን ጓዳ ለይቶ ማየት የማይችል እንኳን ለአገር ስልጣን ለዕቁብ ዳኝነትም የማይመኙት ሰዉ ነዉ። ሆኖም እሱና የደደቢት ጓደኞቹ አዲስ አበባን ሲቆጣጠሩ የስልጣን መያዣ መለኪያዉ ብስለትና አስተዋይነት ሳይሆን ኢትዮጵያንና ኢትዮጵያዊነትን መጥላትና ማጥላላት በመሆኑ በረከት ስምኦን ዛሬም ድረስ እንደጨበጠ የያዘዉን ስልጣን ለመያዝ ችሏል።

ከሰሞኑ ስራ ፈቱ በረከት ስምኦን “የኤርትራ ተቃዋሚዎች አረብኛ ፓልቶክ” በተሰኘ የመወያያ መድረክ ላይ ቀርቦ ቃለመጠይቅ ሰጥቶ ነበር። የዚህ መጣጥፍ ቁምነገር በረከት ስምኦን ቃለመጣይቅ መስጠቱና አለመስጠቱ ላይ አይደለም። ቃለመጠይቅ መስጠትና አለመስጠት የራሱ ጉዳይ ነዉ። ሆኖም ቃለመጠይቁ አገርን ያክል ትልቅ ነገር የሚበክል መርዝ ስለነበረበት ማርከሻ ይሆነዋል በሚል የዚህን እብሪተኛ ሰዉ ቃለመጠይቅ በዚህ ጽሁፍ ለመዳሰስ ተገድደናል።

ጉዳዩ እንደዚህ ነዉ – በቅርቡ በረከት ስምኦን “አረቢክ” የሚባል ፓልቶክ መድረክ  ላይ ቀርቦ ቃለመጠይቅ ሰጥቶ ነበር። ቃለመጠይቁ  የኢትዮጵያ ጉዳይ እጅግ የሚያሳሳብቻዉን እትዮጵያዉያን ቀርቶ በኢትዮጵያና በህዝቦቿ ላይ ታሪካዊ ደባ የፈጸሙትን የህወሀት አባላትን ጭምር አስቆጥቷል።  በረከት ስምኦን በዕለቱ ከተናገራቸዉ ብዙ የክህደትና የጥላቻ ንግግሮች ዉስጥ አንደኛዉ “አንድነትና አንድ አገር የሻዕቢያ መዝሙር ነዉ” የሚል ሲሆን ሌላኛዉ ደግሞ “ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ መገንጠል ለሚፈልጉ ግዜዉ ሲደርስ መገንጠል መብታቸዉ ነዉ” የሚል ነበር።

ለመሆኑ በረከት ስምኦን “አንድነትና አንድ አገር” የሻዕቢያ መዝሙር ነዉ ሲል ምን ማለቱ ነዉ? በረከትና የደደቢት ጓደኞቹ ኢትዮጵያን የሚመለከቷት እንደ አንድ ሉዓላዊ አገር ነዉ ወይስ ኢትዮጵያ እነሱ ሲፈልጉ አንድ የምትሆን እነሱ ካልፈለጉ ደግሞ ተገነጣጥላ ብዙ የምትሆን አገር ናት። በረከትና ወያኔ አዲስ አበባ ሲገቡ ኢትዮጵያ ስንት ነበረች ዛሬስ ስንት ናት? መቼም ወያኔና በረከት ስምኦን ሺ ግዜ ቢነገራቸዉ የማይገባቸዉ ጭራሽ ባይነገራቸዉም ቀረብን የማይሉ ግዑዝ ዕቃዎች ሆነዉ ነዉ እንጂ ከአራቱም ማዕዘን ስንቁን ተሸክሞ በእግሩ አድዋ ድረስ የተመመዉ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ መንገድ ላይ የዘመረዉ ብቸኛ መዝሙር “አገሬ ኢትዮጵያ” የሚል መዝሙር ነበር።  በረክትና ጓደኞቹ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ አንድነትና የኢትዮጵያ አንደ አገር ላይጥማቸዉ ይችላል፤ ቁጥሩ ከ90 ሚሊዮን ባላይ አንደሆነ የሚገመተዉ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ግን ለአገሩ አንድነትና ሉዓላዊነት ህይወቱን ለመስጠት የማይሳሳ ህዝብ ነዉ። እዉነትም ሟርተኛዉ በረከት እንደተናገረዉ “አንድነትና አንድ አገር” የሻዕቢያ መዝሙር ከሆነ የእኛ የኢትዮጵያዉያን መዝሙርስ ምን ይሆን?  ወይስ በረከት የሱን መዝሙር እኛም እንድንዘምርለት ይፈልጋል!

ሌላዉ በረከት ስምኦን የተናገረዉና አንድነቱን የሚወድደዉን የኢትዮጵያን ህዝብ እጅግ ያበሳጨዉ ንግግር “ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ መገንጠል ለሚፈልጉ ሁሉ ግዜዉ ሲደርስ መገንጠል መብታቸዉ ነዉ” ብሎ የተናገረዉ ንግገር ነዉ። በሚሎዮን የሚቆጠሩ ዜጎች በየዘመኑ በከፈሉት የህይወት መስዋዕትነት ተጠብቆ የኖረዉን የኢትዮጵያን አንድነት በረከት ስምኦን እንደቀላል ነገር  በግዜ ገድቦ ነበር ያስቀመጠዉ። ሁላችንም በግልጽ እንደምናዉቀዉ ይህ የበረከት ስምኦን ንግግር አዲስ አይደለም፤ ወያኔ ከጫካ ጀምሮ የተከተለዉ ፀረ ኢትዮጵያ እስትራቴጂ ነዉ። የወያኔዎች አላማ አቅሙ እስከፈቀደ ድረስ ተቃዋሚ ሀይሎችን አጥፍቶ ኢትዮጵያን እየዘረፉ መኖር ነዉ። ተቃዋሚዎች አይለዉ የወያኔ ስልጣን አደጋ ላይ ይወድቃል ብለዉ ከሰጉ ደግሞ እነሱ ትግራይን ተቆጣጥረዉ ሌላዉን የኢትዮጵያ ክፍል በታትነዉ መሄድ ነዉ። በረከት ስምኦን በሰጠዉ ቃለ መጠይቅ ላይ “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” መገነጣጠል ይቻላል ያለዉም ይህንኑ ጫካ ዉስጥ እያሉ ተዋዉለዉ የመጡትን ኢትዮጵያን የማጥፋት ዉል ለመጠቆም ነዉ።

መለስ ዜናዊ በህይወት በነበረበት ወቅት ደጋግሞ አንደተናገረዉም ይሁን ዛሬ በረከት በየፓልቶኩ መድረክ እንደሚለፈልፈዉ እቺ ኢትዮጵያ ተብላና ዘመናትን አቋርጣ እኛጋ የደረሰችዉ የጀግኖች አገር “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” በትንሹ ከሁለት እስከ ዘጠኝ ትናንሽ አገሮች ልትቆራረስ ትችላለች። ባጠቃላይ እንደነበረከት አባባል ኢትዮጵያ ብሔር ብሄረሰበቿ ደስ ሲላቸዉ የሚተክሏት ሲከፋቸዉ ደግሞ ነቃቅለዉ የሚያፈርሷት የእድር ድንኳን ናት። እንግድህ እነዚህ ናቸዉ የኢትዮጵያን ህዝብ አስተባብረዉ አባይ ወንዝ ላይ ግድብ የሚሰሩት . . . ነገ የማን መሆኑ እንኳን የማይታወቅ ግድብ! እነዚህ የነገይቱ ታላቅ ኢትዮጵያ ራዕይ የሌላቸዉ ከሀዲዎች ናቸዉ በኢትዮጵያ ስም በቢሊዮን የሚቆጠር ገንዘብ የሚበደሩትና በኢትዮጵያ ሰም አለም አቀፍ ዉሎችን የሚፈራረሙት! አቤት እግዚኦ! አቤት ኢትዮጵያ. . . . እቺ ናት የመለስ ራዕይ!

ይህንን “መገንጠል” የሚሉትን በወያኔ ህግ መንግስት ዉስጥ የተቀመጠዉንና እነ በረከት ስምኦን ዛሬም ድረስ የሚያጠነጥኑትን የባለጌ መዝሙር አፋችንን ከፍተን የምንሰማ ከሆነ መናገሻ ከተማችን አዲስ አበባ፤ዉብ ከተሞቻችን አዋሳ፤ ባህርዳር፤ ጂማና ናዝሬት፡ ታሪካዊ ከተሞቻችን አክሱም፤ ላሊበላ፤ ጎንደርና ደብረበርሀን የጀግኖቻችን አጽም ያረፉባቸዉ ቦታዎች አነ መቅደላ፤ መተማ፤አድዋ፤ማይጮዉና ወልወል እንደዚሁም የቡና መሬቶቻችን ዲላ፤ግምቢና አጋሮ እነ በረከት “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” ያሉት ግዜ ሲደርስ ኢትዮጵያ ከሚባል ታሪካዊ ስም ጋር የነበራቸዉና አሁንም ያላቸዉ የደም፤ የመስዋዕትነትና የአብሮ መኖር ወንድማማችነት ግንኙነት እንዳልነበረ ሊሆን ነዉ ወይም ዛሬ አንድ የሆነዉ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ የነበረከት ግዜ ሲደርስ “እኛና እነሱ” ልባባል ነዉ።

ዉድ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ይህ እንደ ሰማይ የገዘፈ ጥፋት “ሰዉረነ ከመአቱ ….አድነነ ከጥፋቱ”  ብለን አማትበን የምናልፈዉ ተራ ጥፋት አይደለም። ደግሞም ይህ ግዙፍ ጥፋት የተዶለተዉ በእኛ ዛሬ በህይወት ባለነዉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ላይ ብቻ አይደለም። ይህ ታሪካዊ ጥፋት እቺን አገር አደራ ጥለዉልን ባለፉት በአባቶቻችን ላይ፤ በእኛ ላይና በመጪዉ ትዉልድ ላይ ሁሉ የተዶለተ ትዉልድን ወደኋላና ወደፊት ያጣቀሰ ጥፋት ነዉ። ሆኖም አባቶቻችን ሐላፊነታቸዉን ተወጥተዉ ስላለፉ መጪዉ ትዉልድ ደግሞ ገና ስላልተወለደ ይህንን ጥፋት ማስቆም ብቻ ሳይሆን የጥፋቱን መሐንዲሶች መደምሰስ የዚህ ትዉልድ ሐላፊነት ነዉ።

በረከትና ጓደኞቹ የአገራችንን ጉደይ “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” ብለዉ ነግረዉናል። ወገን ግዜዉ ደርሷል. . . ግዜዉ ዛሬ ነዉ! እቺን ከአባቶቻችን በአደራ የተረከብናትን አገር እኛም ለልጆቻችን በአደራ ለማስረከብ የተዘጋጀን ኢትዮጵያዉያን ሁሉ “ነፃነት ወይም ሞት” ብለን የምንነሳበት ቀን ዛሬ ነዉ። እኛ ሞተን ኢትዮጵያን በህይወት ማቆየት ከተሳነን ታሪክና ትዉልድ የሚያስታዉሱን “አደራዉን የበላ ትዉልድ” እያሉ ነዉ። ለአገሩ መሞትን ፈርቶ ይህንን ከሞት በላይ የከፋ ዘለአለማዊ ስም መቀበል የሚፈልግ ኢትዮጵያዊ ደግሞ በታሪካችን አልነበረም፤ ዛሬም የለም  ለወደፊትም አይኖርም።  እንግዲህ የእናት ኢትዮጵያን ትንሳኤ እዉን ለማድረግ ትግሉን የተያያዝነዉ ሁሉ ሞት በሌለበት ትንሳኤ የለምና ለሞትና ለመስዋዕትነት የምንዘጋጅበት ግዜዉ አሁን ነዉ።

The Never Ending Brutality Dictatorship and Lawless Regime of Ethiopia

Ever since it came to power over 21 years ago, there was no facet of an Ethiopian citizen’s life that has not been affected by the brutal and dictatorial regime. There remains no stone left unturned by the regime in order on power forever. Let alone respect democratic rights and freedom of its citizens.  Ethiopia is signatory of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights that was adopted and proclaimed by the UN General Assembly – resolution 217 A (III) of 10^thDecember, 1948.   Though the regime incorporated the Declaration into its own crafted “constitution”, however, never abided or stood by it.  Rather used it as a means to face-lift its image thereby deceiving the international community.

The government in Ethiopia lead by the Ethiopian People Democratic Revolutionary Front (EPDRF/TPLF) is a tyrant, despotic, dictatorial and undemocratic regime responsible for the massacre, disappearance and imprisonment of tens of thousands members of opposition and their supporters, journalists, religious leaders and those the regime believes that are their color of eyes is different. Ethiopia for the last 21 years was and still is a hell on earth.  The State Department of the USA on its 2010 report noted that “the government is engaged in killings, tortures, arbitrary arrest and restriction of freedom of movement assembly and mistreatment of detainees”. The Human rights Watch on its December 17, 2010 issue also noted, “… the government of Ethiopia uses development aid for state repression by way of routinely discriminating against people viewed as political opposition supporter.” Although the head of the dictatorial regime Mr. Meles Zenawi passed away over four months ago, however, the new Prime Minister Mr. Hailemariam Dessalegn vowed to continue Mr. Zenawi’ legacy. The repression, killings and imprisoning continues.

In order to avoid imprisonment and or death due to their political opposition, citizen were forced to flee their country Those Ethiopians who flee from Ethiopia and seek refugee, to say the least, are the luckiest to stay alive, because they precisely know that, had they stayed in Ethiopia, they could definitively be imprisoned if they are lucky, and if not, join those whose where about is untraceable. No fair minded person will flee from his country and seek refuge in another country.

As such, the regime is above the law of the land and its own constitution to prolong its stay in power, at any cost. The people are hopeless, defenseless and are still under an iron fist.  As per Dr. Gregory Stanton, the founding President of Genocide Watchnoted that the regime in Ethiopia has committed genocide and compared it to that Syria where the Alawait minority government has been unleashing against the majority to stay in power.

To that effect, EPDRF/TPLF regime will in the future be brought to International Criminal Court (ICC) to face justice for the crimes committed:  To mention a few:

• For the massacre of over 70 Sidamas in Sidamo in early 2001.
• For the genocide of over 720 Anuaks in 2003.
• For the massacre of 193 innocent Citizens after 2005 general election.
• For burning alive of thousands of Ogaden Somali Ethiopians.
• For the killing, torture and disappearance of thousands of Oromos, Amharas, Sidamas, Afars and Ogaden Somalis
• For forced off land farmers without compensation in order to lease to Arabs, Indians, Pakistani, Chinese etc  nationals on the pretext of development.
• For the death by starvation of citizens of Ethiopia for the last 21 years, last but not least
• For the death and imprisonment of religious leaders, last but not least;

Notwithstanding the above mentioned atrocities committed by the dictatorial government in Addis Ababa, it became a day-to-day occurrence that the people of Ethiopia are subjected to, and not limited to a few of the following:

High time to support Ethiopian Muslims

For the last two decades, nonviolent struggle, or civil resistance, appeared to be highly misunderstood and confused in

Ethiopia. The resultant effect of this confusion is that so many opportune moments to build a movement for change have been wasted. In fact, a number of leaders failed to provide the necessary leadership to mobilize the oppressed people of Ethiopia to confront their oppressors.

Though Ethiopian Muslims are waging their struggle in a religious context, they are showing us that nonviolent struggle is not “impossible” but a “force more powerful” to crack, stress out and eventually dismantle the tyrannical TPLF regime. While the regime has left no stone unturned to isolate the struggle of Muslims through its confusing and divisive propaganda, the movement is gaining momentum and getting smarter. It now stands out that the movement has reached a critical stage. Despite its best efforts, TPLF has failed to put the genie back into the bottle as the movement has already become irrepressible.

The demands that Ethiopian Muslims have raised are fundamental. It is similar to the demands that Ethiopian Christians have raised in the last two decades. They rejected the appointment of members of the Islamic Supreme Council, the main body supposed to provide spiritual leadership, by the TPLF regime. They also rejected TPLF’s daring effort to impose the Al-Ahbash sect that the late dictator Meles Zenawi chose to import from Lebanon. In his last parliamentary sophistry, he was practically saying that Al-Ahbash was home-gown and every Muslim had to endorse it willy-nilly. He was calling those Muslims who rejected his “spiritual” guidance “terrorists and bandits.”

Followers of the Ethiopian Orthodox church have also suffered for the last two decades, even worse than under the previous two regimes. TPLF denied them the right to have an independent synod. Until Abune Paulos finally followed the man who chose and anointed him to his grave, the patriarch represented and served TPLF’s dictatorship. So many people argued that the divisive patriarch was illegally imposed after Abune Markorios was ousted and forced into exile.

Without going into more details, one can surmise that Ethiopian Muslims and Christians have similar grievances. They both demand religious freedom. They both want to choose their spiritual leaders in accordance of the tenets and spirit of their faith. As much as Ethiopian Christians need none-interference in their religious affairs, our Muslim compatriots are also resisting the meddling of the TPLF in their faith.

In an effort to intimidate and silence those who are in the forefront of the resistance movement, the TPLF has recently “charged” 29 Muslim leaders and activists with “terrorism” offenses. The accused will soon join great Ethiopians like Eskinder Nega, Andualam Aragie, Bekele Gerba, Olbana Lelisa, Reeyot Alemu et al, who have already been convicted of being terrorists only for speaking out against the tyranny of the TPLF. Quite obviously, the charges of terrorism are fake that expose the desperation and paranoia that the TPLF regime has been suffering from.

One of the most serious deficiencies of the struggle against the tyrannical regime is the absence of a coherent leadership that can unify all those who have risen against the tyranny of the minority regime. It is due to this undeniable fact that Ethiopians, in and outside of the country, have not been able to unite against their common enemy.

Ethiopian Muslims have emerged as a force to reckon with as their movement is getting bolder and smarter. They have already shown yellow cards and clearly demonstrated that they cannot be crushed easily when they are united as one. It should, however, be underscored that there will be no religious freedom in Ethiopia unless basic rights are respected. When brutal rulers do not even accept their subjects as citizens, religious freedom will remain a far cry.

It is for this very reason that Ethiopian Muslims should leverage on their movement and try to reach out to other oppressed Ethiopia. They should clearly communicate their messages as TPLF is propagating that the movement has no objective but to set up an Islamic government in Ethiopia. Others should also join the resistance against TPLF so that a larger movement that raises religious freedom as one of the demands emerges in full force to unify every oppressed Ethiopian.

Ethiopia is a diverse country. Our unity in diversity is a serious power that needs to be harnessed for change. We cannot afford to let one small group kill, abuse, exploit, dehumanize and oppress the greater majority. Every Ethiopian, except the oppressors who are profiting from their unfair apartheid system, is oppressed and silenced. In order to end this deplorable state of affairs, all Ethiopians that have been suffering silently should unify and defy TPLF’s tyranny.

ክርስቲያን ወገኖቻችን ወደ ቃሊቲ ኮሚቲዮቻችንን ሊዘይር ለመጣው ህዝብ ከቤታቸው ውሀ በባልዲ እና በጄሪካን በማውጣት ሙስሊሙን እያጠጡ ይገኛሉ ምንም እንኳን ETV አሸባሪ ናቸው ቢልም ዉሸትነቱ የተረዱ ክርስቲያን ወገኖቻችን ሙስሊሙን በመርዳትና በማገዝ ላይ ናቸዉ አንዴ ተክቢር በሉላቸው!!

ወያኔዎች በሙስሊሙ የሀይማኖት ጉዳይ ጣልቃ መግባታቸውን ተከትሎ የተቀሰቀሰው የኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች ሰላማዊ አመጽ አንደቀጠለ ነው።

አመጹን ለማስቆም እንደተለመደው ወያኔዎች የመረጡት መንገድ መግደል፣ ማሰርና በድብደባ አካላዊ ጉዳት መፈጸም ቢሆንም ኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች “ወይ ፍንክች” ብለው ተቃውሟቸውን ዘዴ እየቀያየሩ ቀጥለዋል።

የመብት ተሟጋች ሙስሊሞች በሶሻል ሚድያ መረብ እየገለጹት እንዳለው ከሆነ በአሁኑ ሰዓት በሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ ሙስሊሞች በቃሊቲው ማጎሪያ ፊት ለፊት እየተሰባሰቡ ነው። ረፋዱ ላይ የሙስሊሞቹ ቁጥር እጅግ ሊጨምር እንደሚችል ይገመታል። ሙስሊሞቹ ወደ ቃሊት ማጎርያ እየተመሙ ያሉት የታሰሩ መሪዎቻቸውን ብርታት ለመስጠትና ለአሳሪዎቻቸው (ወያኔዎች) ደግሞ በትግላቸው እንደሚገፉበት ለማሳሰብ ነው።

አንዳንድ አስተያየት ሰጪዎች ይህ የኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች ጽናት ለሌሎችም አርአያ ሊሆን ይችላል እያሉ ነው።

ይህ በዚህ እንዳለ ታዋቂው የሰብአዊ መብት ተሟጋች ጋዜጠኛ አበበ ገላው በድረ-ገጾች ባሰራጨው ጽሁፉ “ኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች ያነሱት የመብት ጥያቄ በማንኛውም ኢትዮጵያዊ ሊደገፍ ይገባል” ብሏል። አበበ ገላው በዚህ ጽሁፉ ካመላከታቸው እውነታዎች መካከል፣ አሁን በሙስሊሙ ማህበረሰብ ላይ እየተደረገ ያለው ጣልቃ ገብነት እና አፈና በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተክርስትያንና ምዕመናን ላይ ባለፉት 20 አመታት ዉስጥ ሲደረግ የነበረና አሁንም በመደረግ ላይ ያለ ነው ብሏል። የአበበ ገላውን ጽሁፍ ለማንበብ እዚህ ይጫኑ።

ድምፃችን ይሰማ፣

በመቶ ሺዎች የሚቆጠር የአዲስ አበባና አጎራባች ከተሞች ሙስሊም ወደ ቃላቲ ጉዞውን ቀጥሏል፡፡ ማረሚያ ቤቱ አስከ አሁን አልተከፈተም፡፡ ሕዝቡ በተለመደው ታጋሽነት የማረሚያ ቤቱን መከፈት በጉጉት እየተጠባበቀ ነው፡፡
