Ethiopia: I Remember! (Alemayehu G. Mariam)

Never Again!On June 6-8 and November 1-4, 2005, following the Ethiopian parliamentary elections in May of that year, hundreds of 

citizens who protested the theft of that election were killed or seriously wounded by police and security personnel under the exclusive command and control of the late Meles Zenawi. An official Inquiry Commission established jointly by Meles Zenawi and the Ethiopian parliament documented that 193 unarmed men, women and children demonstrating in the streets and scores of other detainees held in a high security prison were intentionally shot and killed by police and security officials. An additional 763 were wounded.

The Commission completely exonerated the victims and pinned the entire blame on the police and paramilitary forces.  The Commission concluded, “There was no property destroyed [by protesters]. There was not a single protester who was armed with a gun or a hand grenade as reported by the government-controlled media that some of the protesters were armed with guns and bombs. [The shots fired by government forces] were not intended to disperse the crowd but to kill by targeting the head and chest of the protesters.”

[Important Note: The Commission's list of 193 victims includes only those deaths that occured on June 6-8 and November 1-4, 2005, the specific dates the Commission was authorized to investigate. It is believed the Commission has an additional list of victims of extra-judicial killings by government security forces which it did not publicly report because the killings occured outside the dates the Commission was authorized to investigate.]

የዓረና ትግራይ ፓርቲ የፕሮፖጋንዳና የፖለቲካ ጉዳይ ተጠሪ የሆነው ወጣት ዓምዶም ገ/ስላሴ ታሰረ

ኢሳት ዜና:-ከአረና የተላከው መረጃ እንደሚያመለክተው ፣ ወጣቱ የታሰረው በተከራየው ግቢ ውስጥ ነዋሪ የሆነችው የህወሓት አባል “በግቢያችን ፖለቲካ እየሰበክ ሌሎች ሰዎችን ወደ ዓረና ትግራይ ልትወስድ ነው በማለት ባነሱት ኣታካራ ” ነው።

ያለ ምንም መጥሪያና በቅርብ ይጠባበቁ የነበሩ ፖሊሶች ይዘዋቸው በመሄድ ዓዲ ሀቂ ፖሊስ ጣብያ በተባለ እስር ቤት አስረዋቸውል ይላል መግለጫው።

የዓረና ትግራይ  የፅሕፈት ቤት ዶኩሜንትና የፅሕፈት ቤቱ ቁልፍ እንደተወሰደበት ፓርቲው ገልጿል።

ድርጊቱ በተፈጸመ ማግስት ፣ ህዳር 7 ቀን 2005 ዓም፣ የመቀሌ ዞን ፖሊስ ፅሕፈት ቤት ሓላፊዎች በፖሊስ ጣብያው ተገኝተው የዓረና ትግራይ ዶኩመንቶችን  ይዘው መሄዳቸውን መግለጫው አክሎ ገልጿል።

ወጣት አምዶምን የከሰሱት ግለሰቦች ለፖሊስ ከሰጡት ቃል መካከል  ‘ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር መለስ ዜናዊ ሞተው እኛ ስናለቅስ ዝም ብለዋል”በዚህም ተደስተዋል።” የሚል ይገኝበታል።

የዓረና ትግራይ ከፍተኛ ኣመራሮች በፖሊስ ጣብያው ተገኝተው ምንድ ነው ጥፋቱ በማለት ቢጠይቁም  የጣብያው ኣዛዥ ፖሊስ ወታሃደር የሀይስ   ” እኔ ቀስ ብየ ነው ጉዳዩን የማየው፣  ለምን ኣቀላጥፈዋለሁ “ተዘጋ ስላላችሁት ፅህፈት ቤትና ተዘረፈ ስላላችሁት ዶኩመንት እኔን ኣያገባኝም”  የሚል መልስ መስጠቱ ተመልክቷል።

ወጣት ዓምዶም ገ/ስላሴ 2002ዓ/ም በተካሄደው ሃገራዊ ምርጫ ዓረና ትግራይን ወክለው በደጉዓ ተምቤን ወረዳ(ሃገረ ሰላም) የተወዳደረ ሲሆን ፣ በወቅቱ የዓረና ትግራይ ኣባል በመሆኑ ብቻ ጋዜጠኛ ሆኖ ይሰራ ከነበረ በህወሓት ንብረትነት ከሚታወቀው ድምፂ ወያነ ትግራይ መባረራቸውም የሚታወስ ነው

“መገንጠል ለሚፈልግ ግዜዉ ሲደርስ መገንጠል መብቱ ነዉ” – በረከት ስምኦን

ኢትዮጵያን ነገስታት መርተዋታል፤ ወታደራዊ አምባገነኖች ጨፍረዉባታል፤ ዛሬ ደግሞ ዘረኛ አምባገነኖች ቁም ስቅሏን እያሳዩዋት ነዉ። እቺን ለአስተዋይ መሪዎች ያልታደለች የአስተዋዮች አገር ዛሬ አለም የሚያዉቃት በድህነት፤ በረሀብና በስደት ነዉ። ድህነት፤ ረሀብና ኋላ ቀርነት ኢትዮጵያ ላይ የተደቀኑ ታላላቅ አደጋዎች ቢሆኑም ዛሬ አገራችን ኢትዮጵያን ከምንም ነገር በላይ የሚያስፈራት ድህነትና ረሀብ ሳይሆን ወያኔ በግድ የጫነባት የመገነጣጠል አደጋ ነዉ።

በአባቶቻችን የደም መስዋዕትነት ተከብሮ የኖረዉ የኢትዮጵያ አንድነት የሚያሳስባቸዉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን “መገንጠል” የሚሉትን አደጋ ሲሰሙ ልባቸዉ የሚቀልጠዉ ወያኔ ህግ በመንግስቱ ዉስጥ መገንጠል ይቻላል ብሎ ስለጻፈ ብቻ አይደለም። አያሌ ኢትዮጳያዉያንን የሚያሳስባቸዉና የሚያስፈራቸዉ ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ ቁልፍ ቁልፉን የስልጣን ቦታዎች ቆንጥጠዉ የያዙት ሰዎች የሚናፍቃቸዉ የኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ሳይሆን የኢትዮጵያ መበታተን በመሆኑ ነዉ። ከእነዚህ የኢትዮጵያን ዉድቀትና መበታተን ከሚመኙ ከሀዲ ሰዎች ዉስጥ አንዱና ዋነኛዉ በረከት ስምኦን ነዉ።

በረከት ስምኦን የኢትዮጵያን ትልቅነት የሚያቀልሉና የኢትዮጵያን ህዝብ ማንነት የሚያሳንሱ አያሌ አጥንት የሚሰብሩ ንግግሮች ያደረገ እብሪተኛ ሰዉ ነዉ። በረከት እዉነትን ከዉሸት፤ ቁምነገርን ከቧልት አገርን ያክል ትልቅ ነገርና የቤቱን ጓዳ ለይቶ ማየት የማይችል እንኳን ለአገር ስልጣን ለዕቁብ ዳኝነትም የማይመኙት ሰዉ ነዉ። ሆኖም እሱና የደደቢት ጓደኞቹ አዲስ አበባን ሲቆጣጠሩ የስልጣን መያዣ መለኪያዉ ብስለትና አስተዋይነት ሳይሆን ኢትዮጵያንና ኢትዮጵያዊነትን መጥላትና ማጥላላት በመሆኑ በረከት ስምኦን ዛሬም ድረስ እንደጨበጠ የያዘዉን ስልጣን ለመያዝ ችሏል።

ከሰሞኑ ስራ ፈቱ በረከት ስምኦን “የኤርትራ ተቃዋሚዎች አረብኛ ፓልቶክ” በተሰኘ የመወያያ መድረክ ላይ ቀርቦ ቃለመጠይቅ ሰጥቶ ነበር። የዚህ መጣጥፍ ቁምነገር በረከት ስምኦን ቃለመጣይቅ መስጠቱና አለመስጠቱ ላይ አይደለም። ቃለመጠይቅ መስጠትና አለመስጠት የራሱ ጉዳይ ነዉ። ሆኖም ቃለመጠይቁ አገርን ያክል ትልቅ ነገር የሚበክል መርዝ ስለነበረበት ማርከሻ ይሆነዋል በሚል የዚህን እብሪተኛ ሰዉ ቃለመጠይቅ በዚህ ጽሁፍ ለመዳሰስ ተገድደናል።

ጉዳዩ እንደዚህ ነዉ – በቅርቡ በረከት ስምኦን “አረቢክ” የሚባል ፓልቶክ መድረክ  ላይ ቀርቦ ቃለመጠይቅ ሰጥቶ ነበር። ቃለመጠይቁ  የኢትዮጵያ ጉዳይ እጅግ የሚያሳሳብቻዉን እትዮጵያዉያን ቀርቶ በኢትዮጵያና በህዝቦቿ ላይ ታሪካዊ ደባ የፈጸሙትን የህወሀት አባላትን ጭምር አስቆጥቷል።  በረከት ስምኦን በዕለቱ ከተናገራቸዉ ብዙ የክህደትና የጥላቻ ንግግሮች ዉስጥ አንደኛዉ “አንድነትና አንድ አገር የሻዕቢያ መዝሙር ነዉ” የሚል ሲሆን ሌላኛዉ ደግሞ “ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ መገንጠል ለሚፈልጉ ግዜዉ ሲደርስ መገንጠል መብታቸዉ ነዉ” የሚል ነበር።

ለመሆኑ በረከት ስምኦን “አንድነትና አንድ አገር” የሻዕቢያ መዝሙር ነዉ ሲል ምን ማለቱ ነዉ? በረከትና የደደቢት ጓደኞቹ ኢትዮጵያን የሚመለከቷት እንደ አንድ ሉዓላዊ አገር ነዉ ወይስ ኢትዮጵያ እነሱ ሲፈልጉ አንድ የምትሆን እነሱ ካልፈለጉ ደግሞ ተገነጣጥላ ብዙ የምትሆን አገር ናት። በረከትና ወያኔ አዲስ አበባ ሲገቡ ኢትዮጵያ ስንት ነበረች ዛሬስ ስንት ናት? መቼም ወያኔና በረከት ስምኦን ሺ ግዜ ቢነገራቸዉ የማይገባቸዉ ጭራሽ ባይነገራቸዉም ቀረብን የማይሉ ግዑዝ ዕቃዎች ሆነዉ ነዉ እንጂ ከአራቱም ማዕዘን ስንቁን ተሸክሞ በእግሩ አድዋ ድረስ የተመመዉ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ መንገድ ላይ የዘመረዉ ብቸኛ መዝሙር “አገሬ ኢትዮጵያ” የሚል መዝሙር ነበር።  በረክትና ጓደኞቹ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ አንድነትና የኢትዮጵያ አንደ አገር ላይጥማቸዉ ይችላል፤ ቁጥሩ ከ90 ሚሊዮን ባላይ አንደሆነ የሚገመተዉ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ግን ለአገሩ አንድነትና ሉዓላዊነት ህይወቱን ለመስጠት የማይሳሳ ህዝብ ነዉ። እዉነትም ሟርተኛዉ በረከት እንደተናገረዉ “አንድነትና አንድ አገር” የሻዕቢያ መዝሙር ከሆነ የእኛ የኢትዮጵያዉያን መዝሙርስ ምን ይሆን?  ወይስ በረከት የሱን መዝሙር እኛም እንድንዘምርለት ይፈልጋል!

ሌላዉ በረከት ስምኦን የተናገረዉና አንድነቱን የሚወድደዉን የኢትዮጵያን ህዝብ እጅግ ያበሳጨዉ ንግግር “ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ መገንጠል ለሚፈልጉ ሁሉ ግዜዉ ሲደርስ መገንጠል መብታቸዉ ነዉ” ብሎ የተናገረዉ ንግገር ነዉ። በሚሎዮን የሚቆጠሩ ዜጎች በየዘመኑ በከፈሉት የህይወት መስዋዕትነት ተጠብቆ የኖረዉን የኢትዮጵያን አንድነት በረከት ስምኦን እንደቀላል ነገር  በግዜ ገድቦ ነበር ያስቀመጠዉ። ሁላችንም በግልጽ እንደምናዉቀዉ ይህ የበረከት ስምኦን ንግግር አዲስ አይደለም፤ ወያኔ ከጫካ ጀምሮ የተከተለዉ ፀረ ኢትዮጵያ እስትራቴጂ ነዉ። የወያኔዎች አላማ አቅሙ እስከፈቀደ ድረስ ተቃዋሚ ሀይሎችን አጥፍቶ ኢትዮጵያን እየዘረፉ መኖር ነዉ። ተቃዋሚዎች አይለዉ የወያኔ ስልጣን አደጋ ላይ ይወድቃል ብለዉ ከሰጉ ደግሞ እነሱ ትግራይን ተቆጣጥረዉ ሌላዉን የኢትዮጵያ ክፍል በታትነዉ መሄድ ነዉ። በረከት ስምኦን በሰጠዉ ቃለ መጠይቅ ላይ “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” መገነጣጠል ይቻላል ያለዉም ይህንኑ ጫካ ዉስጥ እያሉ ተዋዉለዉ የመጡትን ኢትዮጵያን የማጥፋት ዉል ለመጠቆም ነዉ።

መለስ ዜናዊ በህይወት በነበረበት ወቅት ደጋግሞ አንደተናገረዉም ይሁን ዛሬ በረከት በየፓልቶኩ መድረክ እንደሚለፈልፈዉ እቺ ኢትዮጵያ ተብላና ዘመናትን አቋርጣ እኛጋ የደረሰችዉ የጀግኖች አገር “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” በትንሹ ከሁለት እስከ ዘጠኝ ትናንሽ አገሮች ልትቆራረስ ትችላለች። ባጠቃላይ እንደነበረከት አባባል ኢትዮጵያ ብሔር ብሄረሰበቿ ደስ ሲላቸዉ የሚተክሏት ሲከፋቸዉ ደግሞ ነቃቅለዉ የሚያፈርሷት የእድር ድንኳን ናት። እንግድህ እነዚህ ናቸዉ የኢትዮጵያን ህዝብ አስተባብረዉ አባይ ወንዝ ላይ ግድብ የሚሰሩት . . . ነገ የማን መሆኑ እንኳን የማይታወቅ ግድብ! እነዚህ የነገይቱ ታላቅ ኢትዮጵያ ራዕይ የሌላቸዉ ከሀዲዎች ናቸዉ በኢትዮጵያ ስም በቢሊዮን የሚቆጠር ገንዘብ የሚበደሩትና በኢትዮጵያ ሰም አለም አቀፍ ዉሎችን የሚፈራረሙት! አቤት እግዚኦ! አቤት ኢትዮጵያ. . . . እቺ ናት የመለስ ራዕይ!

ይህንን “መገንጠል” የሚሉትን በወያኔ ህግ መንግስት ዉስጥ የተቀመጠዉንና እነ በረከት ስምኦን ዛሬም ድረስ የሚያጠነጥኑትን የባለጌ መዝሙር አፋችንን ከፍተን የምንሰማ ከሆነ መናገሻ ከተማችን አዲስ አበባ፤ዉብ ከተሞቻችን አዋሳ፤ ባህርዳር፤ ጂማና ናዝሬት፡ ታሪካዊ ከተሞቻችን አክሱም፤ ላሊበላ፤ ጎንደርና ደብረበርሀን የጀግኖቻችን አጽም ያረፉባቸዉ ቦታዎች አነ መቅደላ፤ መተማ፤አድዋ፤ማይጮዉና ወልወል እንደዚሁም የቡና መሬቶቻችን ዲላ፤ግምቢና አጋሮ እነ በረከት “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” ያሉት ግዜ ሲደርስ ኢትዮጵያ ከሚባል ታሪካዊ ስም ጋር የነበራቸዉና አሁንም ያላቸዉ የደም፤ የመስዋዕትነትና የአብሮ መኖር ወንድማማችነት ግንኙነት እንዳልነበረ ሊሆን ነዉ ወይም ዛሬ አንድ የሆነዉ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ የነበረከት ግዜ ሲደርስ “እኛና እነሱ” ልባባል ነዉ።

ዉድ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ይህ እንደ ሰማይ የገዘፈ ጥፋት “ሰዉረነ ከመአቱ ….አድነነ ከጥፋቱ”  ብለን አማትበን የምናልፈዉ ተራ ጥፋት አይደለም። ደግሞም ይህ ግዙፍ ጥፋት የተዶለተዉ በእኛ ዛሬ በህይወት ባለነዉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ላይ ብቻ አይደለም። ይህ ታሪካዊ ጥፋት እቺን አገር አደራ ጥለዉልን ባለፉት በአባቶቻችን ላይ፤ በእኛ ላይና በመጪዉ ትዉልድ ላይ ሁሉ የተዶለተ ትዉልድን ወደኋላና ወደፊት ያጣቀሰ ጥፋት ነዉ። ሆኖም አባቶቻችን ሐላፊነታቸዉን ተወጥተዉ ስላለፉ መጪዉ ትዉልድ ደግሞ ገና ስላልተወለደ ይህንን ጥፋት ማስቆም ብቻ ሳይሆን የጥፋቱን መሐንዲሶች መደምሰስ የዚህ ትዉልድ ሐላፊነት ነዉ።

በረከትና ጓደኞቹ የአገራችንን ጉደይ “ግዜዉ ሲደርስ” ብለዉ ነግረዉናል። ወገን ግዜዉ ደርሷል. . . ግዜዉ ዛሬ ነዉ! እቺን ከአባቶቻችን በአደራ የተረከብናትን አገር እኛም ለልጆቻችን በአደራ ለማስረከብ የተዘጋጀን ኢትዮጵያዉያን ሁሉ “ነፃነት ወይም ሞት” ብለን የምንነሳበት ቀን ዛሬ ነዉ። እኛ ሞተን ኢትዮጵያን በህይወት ማቆየት ከተሳነን ታሪክና ትዉልድ የሚያስታዉሱን “አደራዉን የበላ ትዉልድ” እያሉ ነዉ። ለአገሩ መሞትን ፈርቶ ይህንን ከሞት በላይ የከፋ ዘለአለማዊ ስም መቀበል የሚፈልግ ኢትዮጵያዊ ደግሞ በታሪካችን አልነበረም፤ ዛሬም የለም  ለወደፊትም አይኖርም።  እንግዲህ የእናት ኢትዮጵያን ትንሳኤ እዉን ለማድረግ ትግሉን የተያያዝነዉ ሁሉ ሞት በሌለበት ትንሳኤ የለምና ለሞትና ለመስዋዕትነት የምንዘጋጅበት ግዜዉ አሁን ነዉ።

The Never Ending Brutality Dictatorship and Lawless Regime of Ethiopia

Ever since it came to power over 21 years ago, there was no facet of an Ethiopian citizen’s life that has not been affected by the brutal and dictatorial regime. There remains no stone left unturned by the regime in order on power forever. Let alone respect democratic rights and freedom of its citizens.  Ethiopia is signatory of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights that was adopted and proclaimed by the UN General Assembly – resolution 217 A (III) of 10^thDecember, 1948.   Though the regime incorporated the Declaration into its own crafted “constitution”, however, never abided or stood by it.  Rather used it as a means to face-lift its image thereby deceiving the international community.

The government in Ethiopia lead by the Ethiopian People Democratic Revolutionary Front (EPDRF/TPLF) is a tyrant, despotic, dictatorial and undemocratic regime responsible for the massacre, disappearance and imprisonment of tens of thousands members of opposition and their supporters, journalists, religious leaders and those the regime believes that are their color of eyes is different. Ethiopia for the last 21 years was and still is a hell on earth.  The State Department of the USA on its 2010 report noted that “the government is engaged in killings, tortures, arbitrary arrest and restriction of freedom of movement assembly and mistreatment of detainees”. The Human rights Watch on its December 17, 2010 issue also noted, “… the government of Ethiopia uses development aid for state repression by way of routinely discriminating against people viewed as political opposition supporter.” Although the head of the dictatorial regime Mr. Meles Zenawi passed away over four months ago, however, the new Prime Minister Mr. Hailemariam Dessalegn vowed to continue Mr. Zenawi’ legacy. The repression, killings and imprisoning continues.

In order to avoid imprisonment and or death due to their political opposition, citizen were forced to flee their country Those Ethiopians who flee from Ethiopia and seek refugee, to say the least, are the luckiest to stay alive, because they precisely know that, had they stayed in Ethiopia, they could definitively be imprisoned if they are lucky, and if not, join those whose where about is untraceable. No fair minded person will flee from his country and seek refuge in another country.

As such, the regime is above the law of the land and its own constitution to prolong its stay in power, at any cost. The people are hopeless, defenseless and are still under an iron fist.  As per Dr. Gregory Stanton, the founding President of Genocide Watchnoted that the regime in Ethiopia has committed genocide and compared it to that Syria where the Alawait minority government has been unleashing against the majority to stay in power.

To that effect, EPDRF/TPLF regime will in the future be brought to International Criminal Court (ICC) to face justice for the crimes committed:  To mention a few:

• For the massacre of over 70 Sidamas in Sidamo in early 2001.
• For the genocide of over 720 Anuaks in 2003.
• For the massacre of 193 innocent Citizens after 2005 general election.
• For burning alive of thousands of Ogaden Somali Ethiopians.
• For the killing, torture and disappearance of thousands of Oromos, Amharas, Sidamas, Afars and Ogaden Somalis
• For forced off land farmers without compensation in order to lease to Arabs, Indians, Pakistani, Chinese etc  nationals on the pretext of development.
• For the death by starvation of citizens of Ethiopia for the last 21 years, last but not least
• For the death and imprisonment of religious leaders, last but not least;

Notwithstanding the above mentioned atrocities committed by the dictatorial government in Addis Ababa, it became a day-to-day occurrence that the people of Ethiopia are subjected to, and not limited to a few of the following:

High time to support Ethiopian Muslims

For the last two decades, nonviolent struggle, or civil resistance, appeared to be highly misunderstood and confused in

Ethiopia. The resultant effect of this confusion is that so many opportune moments to build a movement for change have been wasted. In fact, a number of leaders failed to provide the necessary leadership to mobilize the oppressed people of Ethiopia to confront their oppressors.

Though Ethiopian Muslims are waging their struggle in a religious context, they are showing us that nonviolent struggle is not “impossible” but a “force more powerful” to crack, stress out and eventually dismantle the tyrannical TPLF regime. While the regime has left no stone unturned to isolate the struggle of Muslims through its confusing and divisive propaganda, the movement is gaining momentum and getting smarter. It now stands out that the movement has reached a critical stage. Despite its best efforts, TPLF has failed to put the genie back into the bottle as the movement has already become irrepressible.

The demands that Ethiopian Muslims have raised are fundamental. It is similar to the demands that Ethiopian Christians have raised in the last two decades. They rejected the appointment of members of the Islamic Supreme Council, the main body supposed to provide spiritual leadership, by the TPLF regime. They also rejected TPLF’s daring effort to impose the Al-Ahbash sect that the late dictator Meles Zenawi chose to import from Lebanon. In his last parliamentary sophistry, he was practically saying that Al-Ahbash was home-gown and every Muslim had to endorse it willy-nilly. He was calling those Muslims who rejected his “spiritual” guidance “terrorists and bandits.”

Followers of the Ethiopian Orthodox church have also suffered for the last two decades, even worse than under the previous two regimes. TPLF denied them the right to have an independent synod. Until Abune Paulos finally followed the man who chose and anointed him to his grave, the patriarch represented and served TPLF’s dictatorship. So many people argued that the divisive patriarch was illegally imposed after Abune Markorios was ousted and forced into exile.

Without going into more details, one can surmise that Ethiopian Muslims and Christians have similar grievances. They both demand religious freedom. They both want to choose their spiritual leaders in accordance of the tenets and spirit of their faith. As much as Ethiopian Christians need none-interference in their religious affairs, our Muslim compatriots are also resisting the meddling of the TPLF in their faith.

In an effort to intimidate and silence those who are in the forefront of the resistance movement, the TPLF has recently “charged” 29 Muslim leaders and activists with “terrorism” offenses. The accused will soon join great Ethiopians like Eskinder Nega, Andualam Aragie, Bekele Gerba, Olbana Lelisa, Reeyot Alemu et al, who have already been convicted of being terrorists only for speaking out against the tyranny of the TPLF. Quite obviously, the charges of terrorism are fake that expose the desperation and paranoia that the TPLF regime has been suffering from.

One of the most serious deficiencies of the struggle against the tyrannical regime is the absence of a coherent leadership that can unify all those who have risen against the tyranny of the minority regime. It is due to this undeniable fact that Ethiopians, in and outside of the country, have not been able to unite against their common enemy.

Ethiopian Muslims have emerged as a force to reckon with as their movement is getting bolder and smarter. They have already shown yellow cards and clearly demonstrated that they cannot be crushed easily when they are united as one. It should, however, be underscored that there will be no religious freedom in Ethiopia unless basic rights are respected. When brutal rulers do not even accept their subjects as citizens, religious freedom will remain a far cry.

It is for this very reason that Ethiopian Muslims should leverage on their movement and try to reach out to other oppressed Ethiopia. They should clearly communicate their messages as TPLF is propagating that the movement has no objective but to set up an Islamic government in Ethiopia. Others should also join the resistance against TPLF so that a larger movement that raises religious freedom as one of the demands emerges in full force to unify every oppressed Ethiopian.

Ethiopia is a diverse country. Our unity in diversity is a serious power that needs to be harnessed for change. We cannot afford to let one small group kill, abuse, exploit, dehumanize and oppress the greater majority. Every Ethiopian, except the oppressors who are profiting from their unfair apartheid system, is oppressed and silenced. In order to end this deplorable state of affairs, all Ethiopians that have been suffering silently should unify and defy TPLF’s tyranny.

ክርስቲያን ወገኖቻችን ወደ ቃሊቲ ኮሚቲዮቻችንን ሊዘይር ለመጣው ህዝብ ከቤታቸው ውሀ በባልዲ እና በጄሪካን በማውጣት ሙስሊሙን እያጠጡ ይገኛሉ ምንም እንኳን ETV አሸባሪ ናቸው ቢልም ዉሸትነቱ የተረዱ ክርስቲያን ወገኖቻችን ሙስሊሙን በመርዳትና በማገዝ ላይ ናቸዉ አንዴ ተክቢር በሉላቸው!!

ወያኔዎች በሙስሊሙ የሀይማኖት ጉዳይ ጣልቃ መግባታቸውን ተከትሎ የተቀሰቀሰው የኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች ሰላማዊ አመጽ አንደቀጠለ ነው።

አመጹን ለማስቆም እንደተለመደው ወያኔዎች የመረጡት መንገድ መግደል፣ ማሰርና በድብደባ አካላዊ ጉዳት መፈጸም ቢሆንም ኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች “ወይ ፍንክች” ብለው ተቃውሟቸውን ዘዴ እየቀያየሩ ቀጥለዋል።

የመብት ተሟጋች ሙስሊሞች በሶሻል ሚድያ መረብ እየገለጹት እንዳለው ከሆነ በአሁኑ ሰዓት በሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ ሙስሊሞች በቃሊቲው ማጎሪያ ፊት ለፊት እየተሰባሰቡ ነው። ረፋዱ ላይ የሙስሊሞቹ ቁጥር እጅግ ሊጨምር እንደሚችል ይገመታል። ሙስሊሞቹ ወደ ቃሊት ማጎርያ እየተመሙ ያሉት የታሰሩ መሪዎቻቸውን ብርታት ለመስጠትና ለአሳሪዎቻቸው (ወያኔዎች) ደግሞ በትግላቸው እንደሚገፉበት ለማሳሰብ ነው።

አንዳንድ አስተያየት ሰጪዎች ይህ የኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች ጽናት ለሌሎችም አርአያ ሊሆን ይችላል እያሉ ነው።

ይህ በዚህ እንዳለ ታዋቂው የሰብአዊ መብት ተሟጋች ጋዜጠኛ አበበ ገላው በድረ-ገጾች ባሰራጨው ጽሁፉ “ኢትዮጵያውያን ሙስሊሞች ያነሱት የመብት ጥያቄ በማንኛውም ኢትዮጵያዊ ሊደገፍ ይገባል” ብሏል። አበበ ገላው በዚህ ጽሁፉ ካመላከታቸው እውነታዎች መካከል፣ አሁን በሙስሊሙ ማህበረሰብ ላይ እየተደረገ ያለው ጣልቃ ገብነት እና አፈና በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተክርስትያንና ምዕመናን ላይ ባለፉት 20 አመታት ዉስጥ ሲደረግ የነበረና አሁንም በመደረግ ላይ ያለ ነው ብሏል። የአበበ ገላውን ጽሁፍ ለማንበብ እዚህ ይጫኑ።

የሙስሊሞቹን የቃሊቲ ውሎ እየተከታተልን በዚህ ብሎግ ፖስት ላይ እንዘግባለን…
