Ethiopia is to play Zambia , Nigeria and Bukina Faso, in 2013 Cup of Nations to be held in South Africa.
Group A: South Africa, Angola, Morocco, Cape Verde
Group B: Ghana, Mali, Niger, DR Congo
Group C: Zambia, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia
Group D: Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Algeria, Togo
Tournament kicks off on January 19 with two Group A fixtures and finishes on Feb 10 with the final In a draw held in Durban, Wednesday, Nigeria made Group C with the three other countries.
Ethiopia overcame Sudan in qualifying after losing 5-3 in Khartoum and won 2-0 in Addis Ababa, in the first leg.
Nigeria has twice won the Nations Cup- 1980 and 1994.
Zambia’s solitary success in the competition came in 2012 when they beat the Ivory Coast on penalties in Libreville.
Ethiopia were African champions in 1962 while Burkina Faso have never won the competition.
The Burkinabes had their best outing in 1998 when as hosts, they finished in 4th place.
